How much do you tip your barber/stylist?

$18 salon, tip $5 or $6.
$25 salon, tip $8 or $10.

I tip $5 on a $20 haircut. I have been going to the same guy for about 8 years now. I have known him since highschool and I always have a good time getting it done. What I love most is that I sit in the chair and he asks, "how do you want it?" I say, "Short." Then he cuts my hair. The rest of the cut we just BS about games, comics, girls whatever. It is worth it to have someone you can trust cut your hair.

Yup, my barber just says, "So, just shorten 'er up, eh?" And then he cuts my hair and we talk about what's on CNN at the time. The only way I'll ever go to another barber is if I move away.

I dont tip as my work is free!

My hair stylist is an attractive asian woman that has been taking care of me for 4 years now.

She even gives me a shoulder, neck, & scalp massage every time (note: that's common in Asia).

Obviously, I tip her well, send her a card for her bday and at Christmas.
