Let me think here.

2-3 times a week for lunch while at work. $15 at most for me in a week.
Wife does lunch 1-2 times a week so $10 for her at the most.
Then 1 time a week with the wife for dinner. $30 average.

I would have to say about $220 a month for the both of us.

3-5 times per month at about $30 per time for my wife and I. So $90-$150 per month.
An acceptable amount of money for eating out is $0.

We spend $300 per month on groceries.

That is pretty close to my wife and I as well. 99% of the time when we eat out it is at a local Mexican restaurant and the bill and tip averages around $30.00.

last semester i ate out pretty much every night. sometimes my friend would bring me free sandwiches from quizno's because he works there. i figure maybe 200 bucks a month and 100 worth of groceries every two months. this semester its different because i eat at the student center now. its a lot cheaper and actually its pretty good.

I really hate to be acknowledging this, but at the momoment probably $1000-$1200 per month. I travel 4 days out of the week to various cities, and one of the things that I enjoy doing is trying different restaurants. It gets expensive.

On average I'd say....

$48 for lunches during the week.
We maybe eat out once every other week for dinner so that's maybe $50.

So $100 or so.

Too much.

With me going back to school, tax season starting, and my wife working part time never knowing how many hours she will work each day - our schedules have been erratic and we start eating out more. We started tracking it a few weeks ago and decided we really need to stick to eating at home.

I think you shouldn't spend more than $100 per month on restaurants. I also pack my lunch.

we each eat out for lunch a few time a week then maybe a cheap dinner out once a week and one meal a bit more $$.
probably around ~$300 per month. maybe a bit more. that is on average.

Heh, I was eating out for lunch every day until my wife and I moved. It's amazing how much I save now by taking the 5 minute drive home for lunch. :)

i always tell myself that i will bring a lunch, but never do. so its probably about $150-200 a month for eating out. that includes an occasional breakfast at McDonalds too.

According to Quicken... $500 per month, however that is changing now as we are starting to eat at home A LOT more. BTW, that includes lunches and dinners.

It used to be about $200/mo because I'd eat fast food. But since I moved closer to work, I spent $6 in the last month from eating out.

Edit:
I probably spend about $200/mo on groceries. Depending on how much "extra" stuff I end up getting...

Probably around $100. We spend $200-$300 for groceries/month.

Edit: we used to spend a lot more ... but moved to a small town with limited restaurant options. I also now work 30 minutes out of town, and hence have to take a lunch with me every day, or suffer the brutal vending machine 'food' that serves as our cafeteria. It helps to cut down on costs.

Go out to lunch every day, ~150 a month
Go out to dinner about 3 nights a week, ~180

So I guess I spend about 330 bucks a month eating out.

I cook breakfast, bring my lunch to work (usually leftovers), and cook dinner every day. I rarely eat out at a restaurant.

I spend about $100/week on all the groceries. Since i'm on a sugar-restricted diet, I stay away from sodas and junk food.

Preparing home cooked meals and eating healthy is saving me a lot of cash.
