For the most part, we've stopped purchasing small crappy gifts. Son #2 got a new rifle (early Christmas present). We also may be getting him and his girlfriend a new washing machine for their house. Apparently, the electronics on theirs are shot & not worth replacing. Son #1 and his wife are getting a new television, a camera, and possibly a chest freezer. (He just shot his 2nd deer the other night; could use some more space.) And, my wife is spoiling the granddaughter with some really nice gifts.
Since my wife and I share the same Amazon account, I know what I'm getting - a set of 4 pneumatic nailers: 15 gauge finishing nailer, 18 gauge brad nailer, and whatever other ones come with it. Plus, I'm getting a replacement for the blender; the new one also has a food processor (very useful for pie dough); along with some new tart pans for making more pies. So far, the wife is getting Ugg slippers. She's tough to shop for; I need to get a couple more things.
Then, a few miscellaneous relatives; mostly the small kids. So, probably $2k ballpark.
