$0. Some of us don't need to go to a gym or work out.
Like who?!

Me. 55, healthy, fit and ready to kick arse at the drop of a hat!

I believe it. My dad can still kick my and bros ass at the same time probably and he's ~65. Forearms are lhard as nails and he never worked out.

Watch out for those old dudes scoorb, they have like a super human strength.
Oh come on now it's genetics or lifestyle in your father's case. Somebody who hasn't been in the military for decades isn't going to have a single bit of fitness/strength leftover from that acquired during their time served!

Me neither. I have chicken legs and my dad has big trunks and I think there is more to it than the fact that he's overweight. I know. It's my mom. She has chicken legs. Damn it :|:|

The Pro Sports Club in Bellevue, WA runs about $125 after taxes per month! And considerably more for usage of the tennis facilities. It's supposedly one of the biggest in the nation. ProClub. I spend this ridiculous amount of money for the gym's basketball courts, which are much better than others I've seen in the area.

That being said, if anyone wants to join, I get referral benefits! :)

In NYC, the cheapest multi-location gym is like $80 a month (ie, new york sports club). Plus, they have crappy hours and aren't even as nice as 24 hour fitness used to be. The "nicer" gyms (new york HRC or equinox) are closer to $100+ a month (which sucks, becuse these are the gyms that have swimming pools and such).

You could join some national fitness centers at a different state, for example, Bally fitness center has some premium membership for about 40 a month which allows you to use any of their center nation wide. Then you could go back to use it in NYC.....

I have chicken legs too... but it's A LOT easier to build up chicken legs than to lose the size if you're trying to be proportional. I have friends who have huge trunks for legs, and it bothers them because it chafes them!

I believe the biggest gym in town is like $70 a month. Dunno though as I'm fat... and I have a room in my house that is set aside as a storage... I mean exercise room.

unfortunately there are no bally's near me (I have only seen one in the city and that was in the upper west side).

In the end it doesn't matter as we have a gym at work (around $40 a month) and one in my building (though obviously part of my $1900 a month of rent is going towards that).

I have a 24hour fitness all club/all hours/all ammenities membership. It costs me a whopping $17 a month. It pays to have signed up 8 years ago and stuck with it. I go 5 days a week, so all in all, Im pretty happy.

:D

I wish they had a $200/yr gym around here. That's how much my company reimburses a year and I can't afford luxuries like that on my own at all...

Time to do some searching...

Free through my work. They maintain a nice gym for the employees, 24hr access. I can go at 6 and have maybe three other people there, it's GREAT.

My university gym is nice too, but it's usually busy in the weight room. I try to hit it around 11am when a lot of the people aren't even out of bed yet.

42.95/mo... all new Hammer Strength machines/excellent bench/freeweights/towel service/sauna/steam room/showers/lockers/tanning. I'm pretty happy with it... went to a Gold's Gym the other day in NJ and was incredibly disappointed, it couldn't even compare.
