Honolulu Hawaii (Makiki): $1350/mo., including one parking stall.
- one bedroom
- building has a jacuzzi, pool, work-out room, secured access, 24 hour security, party room, game room (pool, table tennis, etc).

Kinda small. great amenities. Link to my wife's blog about our place: here.

$732/mo about 5mi from DT San Antonio, TX. Apt is an economy which is code for a studio with a wall separating the living room from the bedroom.

Water is another $10/mo. Electricity during the summer was ~$50 now it's ~$30, hopefully ~$20 for December.

Mortgage, not rent. Not including taxes, insurance, and utilities, I pay around $125 biweekly.
rural western NY

(Actually, I pay more than that; that's just the "minimum" amount due.)

Same situation (Mortgage)...just knock off the $125 biweekly and the overage you pay and that's about what I pay.:hmm:

Actually, after rehab, I've been mortgage free for nearly 5 years (Jan. 4th).

Tiny little place in Montreal, $375/mo all included
Yes, small, but clean, quiet and it's my own place 🙂

$1250 for a studio in Arlington, VA. Sadly, my apartment was a steal and I signed for it 5 minutes after it went on the market barley beating out quite a few people.

Wow. It sucks to live where I do. The real question is whether salaries will increase like they have in the last 20 years. My parents bought their first home for 20 grand. It's "worth" 300k even with the drop in values (according to zillow).

760$ ~ mortgage with zero down payment(shit, I think they paid us 7k for first time home buyers) on a condo in uptown/mpls a few years ago :-D

$980/month for my share of the apartment (includes water, heat, & electricity); it's a converted 1br (to 2br) in Manhattan. Though, it's only for one year; special deal with my grad school (subsidized rent).

i thought you lived in like newton

I used to live in Natick...was going to move to Newton, but then found this place. I can see why it was on the market for so long now. I am convinced that if the person below has a fire, the whole city will high with in 45 minutes.

East Cambridge. It's about 4 blocks from the Kendall Stop and 2 from the Lechmere stop. I love it here because it's so close to Boston and parking is NEVER an issue. If I only I could get rid of the pot head down stairs.....

The place is cheap b/c my landlord does not give an F. The dishwasher broke, he just told me to deal with it.

550/month in Ridgecrest for 800 sq ft. Fireplace. Two balconies. Garage. Washer/dyer. Big back yard. Good job.

900/month Eugene. 900 sq ft. No fireplace. Washer/dryer. No garage. Shitty parking. Miserable job. But I loved the town.

750/month Beaverton. 500 sq ft. Nothing special at all. HORRIBLE parking. Dense, overpriced area. Groceries average 1.5 times Eugene. Gas was 30 cents higher. I loved the job though.

I wish I coulda found another job in Eugene.
