I don't know exactly, my wife handles the bills. It's $1500-1800 in NJ for an 03 Civic EX Coupe and an 05 TSX, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance.

Edit: Per year.

27 yrs old, 2000 Sebring Convertible, Allstate (full coverage) at $479 per 6 months
I was living overseas for 5 years w/o driving until last month, so I lacked continuous auto coverage so that cost me an extra $80 to $100 per period but I have a perfect driving record so I still don't pay too much.

This month was the first time I purchased auto insurance on my own, so I did some research. Some of you might be interested that:

-rates in CA or NY are roughly double than around where I live in AL / TN area according to my agent
-convertibles are generally speaking more expensive to insure than a standard coupe
-car color doesn't matter (used to always hear "red is more expensive" when I was a teen)
-allstate gave me the best rate, progressive was the next best price
-it changes depending on company, but in allstate's case you only get a discount for car alarm or window VIN Etching if it was installed from the factory. So if you're buying a new car, those would probably be smart investments
-Ameriprise is the company I intend to contact next time. They are the inurance company provided by American Express and Costco. Word has it they are one of the cheapest around, and if you have a Costco membership you can 10% off your premium, basically more than paying for your membership. I get some reward points for my AMEX card just for getting a quote, so nothing to lose, but I won't need to ask until 6 months later

I'd also like to time the time to brag that I nabbed that Sebring earlier this month for only $6000 @ 78,000 miles :)

Too much. I'm with one of the big major companies. I thought I'd try Geico because they make you think they are cheap. They wanted to charge me 50% more. I've got 2 cars and I haven't had an accident in over 20 years. $1,800 for 2 cars, both have collision.

way too much

20 years old, 2002 1.4litre Ford Focus 3 door in insurance group 4 and its still £700 fully comp with £200 voluntary excess and 3 full years no claims.

the best laugh is if i go back down to university and take my car the premium jumps up £400. but when i come back home again it only goes down by £190. cunts. they squeezed another £210 just for taking my car to loughborough for a few months then bringing it back.

when i first started to drive 17years old, 1.3litre Ford Ka insurance group 2 and that insurance was £1500 fully comp. the damn car only cost £2500.

these a 9-month payments, the little deal is you pay for 9 months and they give you a full years no claims at the end.
