As I remember, 302's scale was just a little bit behind 3's scale.

Not by much though...and IMO, you live in a better part of the country...:D

Normally, you'd take your monthly salary * 12 / 2080 = hourly rate.

BUT, that presumes a 40 hour week and many salaried people don't work 40 hours...

When you calculate your monthly salary by the number of hours you're actually "on the clock" or doing company work, (even when neffing) how does that salary calculate?

The only time I've ever been salaried was when I worked as a union business agent...and when calculated by the hour...I made about $15/hr. When I quit and went back to work, my hourly rate doubled. (and I didn't have to deal with any of the political bullshit that I hated about the BA job.)

Tsk, tsk on you.

These guys are obviously salary and working much more than a 40hr week.

I hope so, but that is still a pretty crazy schedule. All us engineers are exempt so all the extra hours over 40 go out the window! $32.14 per hour here which is "ok" for an entry-level engineer I suppose. At least that's what I tell myself everyday.

$15/hr, which I don't think is too bad for a part time job in college

I am in the tree fiddy crowd, I work a shit load of hours

Now if I could take what I make and divide it by 40 hours a standard work week, it would be a nice fat number I am sure....

£17.07 per hour (or ~$27.25 per hour).

Hopefully I'll be getting a £5k pay rise at the end of the year, so this will increase to $31.95 per hour pre-tax.

Should we include the cost of our benefits in the analysis, since vs making $7.15 an hour, making $7.15 an hour with complete dental, medical, and life insurance is better? And, should we only count the time that we absolutely absolutely have to be working, or include all hours engaged in activity related to our workplace?

Just the cash pay gramps. Not total compensation.

Assuming a 40 hr work week, $47.50 per hour not counting bonus/stock. I'm salarid though, so... calculating on my actual/average work week of 70 hours, $27.14 per hour.

I'll be honest.
I make, (Gross, if based on a 40 hr. week) $26.50 Hr.
Salaried, of course.
BUT, considering Paid Medical, Dental, etc., Full expense account, Company truck, Bonuses, etc., that's not bad for Kentucky, where the cost of living is VERY low.
Oh yeah, you have to take into account when work is slow, and you get to sit at home (once for 8 months!), the paychecks keep rolling in.
Not too shabby for my age (52) & location.
