Well we have not gone on our honeymoon yet (we are getting married in August). But here is what we are doing. With links to each hotel.

3 days in Los Angeles

8 days in Hawaii Pacific Beach Hotel

7 Whitsunday Islands (of the cost of Australia) Peppers Palm Bay

4 days Sydney Australia The Grace Hotel

3 days Tahiti Le Meridien Tahiti

4 days Bora Bora Le Meridien Bora Bora

The best part is she doesn?t know we are going first class or that we are going to Tahiti and Bora Bora. I just can?t wait to see her reaction when we get to the airport to go back to the US and she finds out we are going to Tahiti and Bora Bora.

If someone would like to guess at the cost and comes within 10% i will spill the beans.

Airfare alone would be close to 5 figures, I am guessing about $19,000

You are closer but not within 10% yet, dont for get to caculate the cost of first class VS coach.

Damn... I hope my wife is attractive enough that I won't need to waste that kind of money to have a good time...

Let's just jump that up to 26k, I want to know how much... looks like it would be an amazing trip though.

Not close enough but getting there. I hope its a great trip i did about 3 weeks of info gathering before i picked the hotels and locations.
That's nuts!! I looked into the French Polynesian islands - they look amazing but the airfare and hotels alone put it out of our price range. With an itinerary like that you must be spending close to $40K.

I think its all a matter of what you enjoy. We both like the idea of going places we have not gone before. Honeymoons are the type of thing that you hope you only have to do once. I found her attractive enough to get hitched so thats not an issue and dont forget she doesnt even know about half the trip.

About 500 bucks on a Hotel room and Champange. I had to work the next day because my boss is a total douchebag ;)

First its not $30,000 (could be more or less). Second, you tell me how I can prove it and I would be more then happy to. Third it?s not as many days because you cross over the International Date Line which shortens the trip by a day when we go from AU to Tahiti.

Well, either you are very rich or very foolish to spend that much no matter how much you want to have a great time.

Well, im not rich and i hope im not foolish. But, i did work hard to save for our honeymoon.

Well good luck to you. I could never spend even close to that, but I'm pretty conservative when it comes to money. It will certainly be a trip you'll never forget. Take lots of pictures. :)

Well you went over but you were within 10%. The magic number was $36,500. Some of the hotels the food is included and some its not. The price also includes car rental in Hawaii and a few mini trips while in the islands of the coast of AU.

Both the DV Cam and the Digital Cam will be making the trip, with lots of DV Tape and Memory Sitcks. Photos of all types are required

Not yet, we are looking right now and hope to have something before the wedding. We are trying to stay close to her parents, so that makes it a little tough (lack of homes for sale).

We spent about $700 on our honeymoon AND our wedding.
Including airfare, hotel for about 4 nights, wedding ceremony, food, gambling, and a show.

Married and honeymooned in Vegas.

You could take a 7 day cruise in the caribbean for about 2 grand plus airfare to Florida.

There was a snow ball efect. I know you are going to think i full of it but i actual had to take a few things out. For example we wanted to go to more then one island in hawaii.

Ill report back in 3.5 months and let you know if there was any WOW factor. Maybe i should start a new thread on how i should tell her about the last two parts of the trip, its something i havent worked out yet.

My parents paid for (lucky for us). I think they spent around $5400. That was for 7 days, all inclusive.

I think it would be cool if it seemed like you werent able to catch a flight back to the U.S. like you get stranded or something and then just end up buying a plane ticket elsewhere just cause you're already on the other side of the world. something to that effect...

No, the other side of the spectrum would be justice of the peace and a night at the local motel 6.

We actually had a great time. It was one of the best trips I've ever taken.

At the time we were poor college students, so it was all that was in our budget.

Holy crap. Man, you've got good taste and I hope you two have a wonderful time. You're very fortunate. That sounds like a dream trip to me.

Exactly.
