Adultery isn't wrong?

SODOMY isn't wrong? :Q

Adultery wasn't the issue (though it's clearly wrong).

Perjury & obstruction of justice, however...

None. He was impeached, but he was not forced to resign. Impeachment is an accusation that requires a trial before the Senate. Here's a summary of the events
The Senate voted on the Articles of Impeachment on February 12, with a two-thirds majority, or 67 Senators, required to convict. On Article I, that charged that the President "...willfully provided perjurious, false and misleading testimony to the grand jury" and made "...corrupt efforts to influence the testimony of witnesses and to impede the discovery of evidence" in the Paula Jones lawsuit, the President was found not guilty with 45 Senators voting for the President's removal from office and 55 against.

Lying used to be wrong.

:p
Under oath no less
Lying is stll wrong. Clinton lied about failing to return his fly to its full upright position. Guess we could move it to Politics and News and discuss the merits of lying to take the nation to war and get a good number of Americans killed along with thousands of others.

here's the funny part. if Clinton admitted he gave Monica a few pearl necklaces, NOTHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO HIM LEGALLY.

okay, so if some of you were asleep at the wheel, he did nothing wrong with Lewinski, you missed the point about purgery (lying under oath).

Clinton lied about getting some on the side, GWB twisted the truth to kill thousands and earn billions for his campaign contributers and powerful corporate allies. Make your own judgement. Something to consider, the rest of the world laughed at the republicans who impeached Bill and they are now truly scared of the current administration.

i read something like this and i cant help but think how much of a disconnect democrats have with reality. no wonder its been all downhill for them since 1998 (or whatever year it was that they lost control of the senate and house)

but what really boggles the mind is how he was found not guilty. i mean surely he purgered himself and obstructed justice, but for 55 senators to blantantly disregard the law and to say that he in fact did not commit purgery or obstruct justice is truely pathetic

should he have been removed from office? maybe, maybe not - but he was guilty as charged

ya, just goes to show how corrupt our govenment is.

oh and my little own tinfoil hat consperacy theory is that the powers that be set up the whole Clinton lying under oath thing to desensitise the populous in preperation for the current adminisation to lie about their justfication for war.

he did nothing wrong
he lied under oath, he told Lewinsky to lie under oath, for this he was impeached (only second President in History to be impeached), and he was disbarred...

i am at a loss how anyone can believe "he did nothing wrong" unless of course you share Pres. Clinton's moral compass.
