I have 965 (Verizon) but to be fair a ton of them are pretty old, as in last year old.
 
300. I had one guy friend who refused to talk on the phone. Thank god my girlfriend hates text messaging. My last girlfriend used to send me text messages all the time and it drove me nuts.
 
No idea... WinMo 6.1 just threads them all for me, but I know I don't have 900.

I don't necessarily agree with this, but that's probably obvious since I mentioned WinMo 6.1 above which means I have a smartphone and you'd have to be silly to buy one if you only wanted it for phone stuff 😛. But yeah, most of the time, I don't need a full on vocal conversation to get what I need... a text can be simple and answered at their leisure. If I need an answer as soon as possible, then I will call instead.
 
23 but i just cleared it out this morning. It only holds 200 at a time, and I end up clearing it out like every two or three days.
 
47 inbox, 45 outbox.

My phone is a POS and can only hold like 150 texts total before it runs out of memory.
