Figured I'd start this thread.

I can do about 75 without being sore the next day. I could probably keep going, but I get bored after that many! :p

Even being in my out of shape state I can own ANYONE at situps. Seriously, I set the record in PE my 10th grade year(I was in better shape), but the other night I got into a drunken contest and was kicking ass at it still. I must have good stomach muscles or something. :p

Right now I could do about 60-70 in two minutes.
Last year that would have been 115 in two minutes.

Shoot! It takes me about 10 minutes to do 75.

Guess I'm not as tough as I thought. :p

If you want to lose weight, you need to create a calorie deficit, not do sit-ups til you puke. Not that I'm arguing the importance of the exercise, I do them every time I work out. Just trying to squash a common misconception in regards to exercise and weightloss.

Ketotonic diet? I read up quite a bit on those about a year and a half ago. I couldn't do the low/no carbs until the weekend thing though. Besides, I'm more concerned with building muscle mass instead of losing weight... my abs just barely peek through my stomach fat/skin... good enough for me.

Look at this thread... and the photos of posters.

Ew... lowcarber.org? Going on a diet because it's "low carb" is really not why you should be looking at a diet. I think the CKD diet is great especially if you want to stay trim while putting on muscle. But as for pure mass gaining, I'll stick to pounding down protein and carbs while making sure to still eat clean and not eat too much fat. I put on 15lbs of muscle (and little bit of fat) over a three month period by just increasing my protein and calorie intake while hitting the gym hard.

As for the posters and their pics... eh... innermusic is obviously very into bodybuilding, and jag has some really good mass... but other than that, eh... not too impressive.

Not sure how many I can do timed, but I could probably go for quite a while at a comfortable pace. I do a tough ab workout 3-4 times a week that usually results in 300-400 crunches total.

I normally do between 500-1000 a day, depending on how much time I have. I normally don't do more than 150 or so at a time. I haven't had a chance to do very many in the past few weeks and it is starting to show! At least things have slowed down a bit here for the time being.
