How many really really good friends do you have?

Actually, I have a lot of these kinds of friends. We all play hockey together and against each other. There are about 20 of us total. We all get along with each other, go out and have fun together, and see each other at least 2-3 times a week. Its fun needless to say. I can be myself around these guys without any kind of fear or nervousness.

Just how good a friends are we?

Since we play hockey for and against each other, there are times we have slashed each other in the handshake line. As a goalie I have been run down in the crease by one of them a few times. Then there is the guy I punched on the rink because he tossed my helmet.

Yet we all get along very well and do things together. Now thats friendship.

Hypothetical.. would you drive 8 hours to pick them up if they were stranded? Would you loan them $10,000 if you had it? Would you help them bury a body? Would they do the same for you?

I think that is the kind of friend she is talking about, not just people you can be yourself around.

I have 5 really close friends who I grew up with since high school and who I still keep close contact with. But I have 290 friends on my facebook list .

All of them.
But for the most part, I don't like people so I don't hang with them too much. But I am always myself.
