Part of this is typical democrat hypocrisy. The only reason why they are against the wall this time is because trump is president. Even obama said we need better border security.

Shut the government down not because of the wall per say, but because of democrats being hypocrites.

Stop and think for a moment. The Republicans controlled Congress for the last 8 years, and did nothing about a border wall. For the last 2 years, they controlled all 3 branches of government, and did nothing.

If democrats refuse to negotiate, shut it down. Shut the airports down, shut the courts down... shut everything down until the wall is built.

A lot of people are saying he "caved", but it was less a surrender and more a ceasefire. The bill is only for three weeks, after which he can hold the government hostage all over again.
