The PSP does have a bigger screen and is more powerful. And of course the disc format allows for much larger games (downside being load times). I almost bought a PSP almost entirely for watching movies (ripped from my own DVDs, I'd never buy a UMD). And if you want to play emulators and what have you, it's easier on a PSP.

Edit: Not easier, cheaper. It's easy on a DS, but you have to buy another item.

I'm 25. Some months I'll play it quite a bit, and others I'll barely touch it. My wife plays it a lot, which somewhat evens that out.

There's a game called Sonic Rush I think, but I don't know if that is even close to the original or not though.

31 and I bought a DS for me and my son. He's got pretty bad asthma and this time of year is rough on him so it gives us something else to play together inside.

Sorry to hear. Great alternative way to spend time with your son though =).

What do you guys use to protect the screens from scraches? Or which one would you recommend? I'm getting a ds lite, and want to keep the screen perfect. :)

Yep. He can almost hold his own at Mario Kart DS. :D Not bad for a 4 1/2 year old.

I don't have any problem keeping mine from getting scratches, I just keep it closed when I'm not playing it. Getting a screen protector couldn't hurt though :)

I have one but I am not so into it. I just got it too. I think its because I am more into computer games then console or handheld games. But the DS is cool though.

Hell no, would be a waste of money on me.

Who the hell needs to be playing games ALL the time anyway? I pity them.

35 and I've got one. Well, actually I bought it for my 6 year old, but both my wife and I play it constantly. Super Marion, Mario Karts, and Golden Nugget Casino are all fun. So is Animal Crossing, actually. For what it's worth, I put in as much time with the DS as I do with my Xbox 360.

32, play it pretty often. I bought a Supercard for it, which has increased its utility immensely. It's a nearly perfect setup for me. I tend to play games for short periods of time at random moments throughout the day, and the DS games that I have are good for this.

My wife (30) is indifferent to video games but got hooked on Big Brain Academy and Brain Age.

My gf and I are 27, we each have one. We play pretty frequently, usually at home or when on trips. Not so much an everyday commute type of thing. We play multiplayer Mario Kart, minigames from Mario 64/NSMB, Metroid Pinball against each other. She's currently addicted to Super Princess Peach (I've already beat it), and I'm replaying Mario 64. Several of our friends have DSes as well.

there was a spurt last year where all of my friends (age 21-22) went out and bought DS's -- lot of fun at the time (we all also sprung for the flash kit / card adapter) -- we even brought them to graduation to use pictochat / play mariokart during the ceremony (different majors sit in different areas) ... barely used it since graduation. now it sits in my glove compartment for anyone who wants to play during long car trips.

i do know someone who put linux on his ds using the flash kit / card adapter... i think he had opera working on wifi and such.

edit: i probably would use my DS still, except i just got a cingular 8525 and that's more fun.

Most of my friends have one (ages 23-28). We play them all the time. Multiplayer games are really fun but there are plenty of good single player games too.
