WTF would I go to some stank, stagnant lake. I have the Atlantic Ocean nearby, and a bit of a drive away is the Gulf of Mexico.

oh but pretty soon it might be ruined by the oil.

Fuck you BP. Fuck you.

I haven't been to a lake in summer for year. I'm heading up to Kingston, on Lake Ontario, in the next couple of weeks hopefully. My aunt and uncle have a sail boat there. I'm going to do the Thousand Island cruise as well.

I went to school at Queen's, that's a paltry excuse for boating, and a shit lake to boot.

Also, it's just plain old cold water.

In years gone by, I spent at least every other weekend on the lake, creek, stream, river, or on the ocean...catching fish.

Nearly none of the lakes around here have private residences on them. Most are owned by one governmental agency or another, for irrigation and/or drinking water sources.

My in-laws used to have a lake cabin north of Spokane. We built the place in the mid-70's from the ground up. We went up at least once per month, even in the winter.

I haven't been to a lake or swam in the ocean since like junior high.

I'm not really an outdoorsy person.

My in-laws have a place in the Adirondacks. A camp actually. It's awesome. And on a lake. We are usually there for 2-3 weeks each summer and 1 long weekend in the winter.

Also live near the CT shore so we go to the beach on occasion.

I live a half mile from Lake St Clair but I've never been in or on it.

When I was younger I would go to friends' places pretty regularly but it's been quite a while.

We have a lake nearby that our family goes to usually every other weekend throughout the summer. We have a cabin there with a jet ski, ski boat and pontoon to take advantage of. One of the best parts is the cliffs that you can dive off of.

you ever wonder how many dead bodies are in the bottom the lake? whats point of this thread? i go to teh beach every other weekend if not at disney land or camping near a river. i usually dont like lakes compared to ocean.

If "skinny dipping watering hole" counts, then not enough!

Got the longitude and latitude?

This way I can send a email over to google to swing over a satellite to take some pics for their google maps. :awe:
