This thread made me wonder. Who here carries a handgun on a daily basis, what do you carry, and how do you conceal it?
 
I carry a Glock 22 .40 in either an in-waistband Comp-Tac holster, or an OWB Fobus holster somewhere between 3:00 & 4:00, depending on what I'm wearing & where I'm going.


Edit: I don't have a permit though...don't need one.
 
I cannot legally do so in IL. No CCW permits are issued and CCW is illegal.

There is no option in your poll for folks like me.

I.E. either directly on my right hip, or slightly behind it.

I figured that would just fall under the 'No' option, but I added more options.

edit: I'm going to get my permit sometime next year, but I won't carry daily. But I'd like the to have the option to if need be.

Nope, I see no reason to do so, and I'm a hunter and pro-gun. Too many chances for something to go wrong, and I'm not paranoid. 🙂🙂
 
You can only get a Shooting range license in long island, ny unless you are business owner and carry lots of money to bank etc, then you can get a conceal license.

TX CCW permit for 3 years now.

ULTRA-LITE MODEL 817 .38 Spl. REVOLVER

Had the hammer tang removed, wooden grips, smoothed it so it won't catch on anything, right front pocket carry with a pocket holster.

I'm not a big guy & in Texas, shorts & T shirt are what I wear 8 months of the year, limit my options for concealed carry.

Umm. . . what's the point of carying a concealed weapon? Wouldn't a major point of carrying a gun be the . . . disincentive it gives to those who would want to mess with you?

Note that I'm a Canadian, and don't really get the gun-as-self-protection thing. Go easy on me.

Well, I'm a cop, so it's different for me than for Joe Citizen.

You may be confused about why it would be concealed...there are very few places that allow for "open carry," and even if the area does allow it people would still likely get freaked out & throw stares your way.

I'm a business owner. My employees and I carry lots of cash when making deposits... not to mention some of our stores are robbed occationally.
 
Cops can't be everywhere. If someone wanted to kill you, they can do so very easily. The whole event might be less then 15 secs. Carrying a gun will give you an edge.

Edit: some people see this differently. Especially those who have had real reason to fear for their lives.

My brother is a City Police officer and it is advised that immediate family members get a CWP, as some of the individuals they come in contact with, think that by threatening family members, They can effect a change in their "circumstances".
I carry a Taurus Millennium Pro PT140 in .40 cal for public use and a Taurus 66SS6 .357 mag revolver when I'm out on the property.
The PT140 goes in a small holster between 3:00 and 4:00 on the belt or at 6:00 inside the trousers..
The .357 goes on the belt at 4:00 outside in plain view. It has a 6in SS barrel.
 
I wanna get me a license 🙁, but my wife won't let me. I want a Desert Eagle. She says I am too short tempered. I told her I would make sure I shot the right kind of person 😉. She said that's what she's afraid of. Oh well
