How the hell do you conceal the DE? 😕

I don't carry a gun, but with the festering gobs that I have to ride home with, I conceal an illegally sized knife right where I can get at it. Cops at the lightrail station I catch a ride home at took down some asshole who tried pick pocketing some old man and bob duked the old man when the old man noticed there was an arm in his coat. Luckily someone had the courage to actually step in and take the guy down and hold him until authorities arrived. I didn't even notice anything until the old man fell over and started making a fuss.

Tuesday night, Andy, who is buddy of mine, drives to a park-and-ride every day and was getting off the lightrail going to his car on his way home, walking behind a woman. The two of them heard glass shatter and followed by a car alarm alerting everyone getting off the MAX. They saw a guy run down the tracks into the darkness. The cops can't possibly get there in a few seconds, so he was gone, but the car that he broke into was the woman walking in front of my buddy.

A couple years ago, someone shot at the lightrail train a couple times from a concealed location, hitting it once.

Fvck this shiot, man. Until I have the money for the license and a decent pistol, I don't give a flying four letter word for copulation about the law when the law isn't stopping this from happening -just following along behind, picking up the pieces.

I will have one soon, but it seems like every time I'm going to have the cash to buy a useable CC pistol plus pay for the classes, something comes up. 🙁

In the trunk?

God bless Virginia for not taking away my right to carry. I love this state. But living in northern Virginia, I cross into Maryland (police state) and D.C. (even more of a police state) quite often, so a CCP would end up being more of a hassle than anything. Plus I just don't really feel threatened enough to carry one.

So pay for the classes and get them out of the way. Those are cheap. Then you've got one down, one to go.

i took the class with Viper GTS but never filed the paperwork since there was never a time when carrying would be an option for me but i'd like to. i currently have a S&W Sigma SW9VE but i wan't to get a Kahr PM40 when i finaly apply for the permit.

I used to carry a Smith and Wesson .357 "Combat" Magnum stainless steel revolver (used to be standard issue for cops in MD before the 9mm) when I went to college in WV (couldn't carry on campus though!). I had the speed loader and everything... Eventually traded it up for rotors/changing rotors on my truck with a mechanic b/c I was so strapped for cash, plus couldn't take it with me to MD! But it was a dam fine gun, not much recoil, accurate, yet powerful enough to put a big hole in your head!

I'm working on it. If what I have planned for next summer goes through, I'll have a ton of cash to play around with at the end of it all. Especially since I'll have no time to spend any of it during the summer.

But if it works out, I'll be able to pick up my CC piece and get myself something else, too.

I can't get a concealed carry permit in CA. It's damned near impossible here.

Still, I might pack a weapon with me if I'm going on a trip or just feel like it. My handgun of choice is usually my Colt Officer's model .45 ACP or my Beretta Tomcat in .32 ACP.

Yeah one of my buddies had a .45 Kimber 1911... .45's are fvcking LOUD w/out ear protection!

Umm. . . what's the point of carying a concealed weapon? Wouldn't a major point of carrying a gun be the . . . disincentive it gives to those who would want to mess with you?

Note that I'm a Canadian, and don't really get the gun-as-self-protection thing. Go easy on me.

I'm just batsh1t crazy.

Like I would ever admit to something like that on the Internet so that "THE MAN" could track me...... 😉

Eventually I'd like to pick up a couple of SKS's in WV, anyone selling (Russian or Romanian, NOT Chinese)?

There are lots of Yugoslav 59/66 SKSs out right now right now. You can find them for less than $100 plus FFL transfer and shipping. The quality on these is good.

I have two and like them.

I carry a Glock 22 .40 in either an in-waistband Comp-Tac holster, or an OWB Fobus holster somewhere between 3:00 & 4:00, depending on what I'm wearing & where I'm going.

Edit: I don't have a permit though...don't need one.

What happens between 3-4? 😕

Vehre is da book, Dr. Jones?

Daaaad!

I'm sorry, they got us.

Hang on, Dad... We're going in!

Yes I've heard good things about the Yugo's as well, never had a chance to fire one. Less than 100? That's a steal!

Well, they don't come any closer than that!

No license required for concealed carry in Alaska. If you take the class and get it you can avoid the waiting period for purchases, though. Plus it would look better if you were required to defend yourself, as they examine how to deal with various types of situations in the class, and explain how the onus to avoid conflict is on the person with the concealed weapon.
