vinyl is really big right now, many bands release their new stuff on 180g vinyl, so shut the fuck up about kids not understanding this or that you're so goddamn trite it makes me sick.

Back in the day when they were quality they were called "The Fisher".

Cassettes were at the top with the Nakamichi Dragon and quality worked its way down from there. ;)

Funny how the model ends with DB. Anything with LINE OUTPUT connected to PHONO input is going to be loud just like plugging in a radio headphone output to your sound card's MIC IN. ;)

The "DB" means it's a model with "Dolby Noise Reduction", new for 1977. Also, I was wrong about using Phono-1, I'm using Tape Monitor 1 because Phono-1/2 and Aux get routed through the Dolby board which needs repaired.

It can definitely push the DBs, though. :awe:

You could plug a simple microphone with a "full size" banana plug into the front headphone output jack on your amp/receiver and use it as a crude PA.

I could, but then I'd be neglecting my MIC in, which is where I plug my guitar to fumble around with. Has it's own volume/gain control too.

I shit you not!

Perk, are you sure that wasn't a combo MIC/Headphone jack of some kind?

Later added a Hammond organ with a Leslie speaker. Neighbors loved the sound.

I'd love to hear a Leslie speaker in person. Hearing the effect over a standard speaker just isn't the same.

I have a few of those in my collection, but most of the 45s I have do not have the big hole, so no need for the adapters anymore.

Oh and back then this had only one meaning!
Using it as a verb i.e. spamming someone meant a food fight.

UGH! That game was so hard to find, and it was expensive :( It was like $40 at KMart.

Yeah we were too poor to even have a gaming system, but my buddy had 3 different systems and a whole whack of games. Berzerk was one of them and I would play it for hours at his place. Ahh, the good old days.
