How many miles do you put on your car in a year OR Motorcycle?

My wife and I have 2 cars and I have a motorcycle.
She is lucky enough to work from home so I drive her Honda FIT for work as it is gas friendly. On the rare occasion she needs to drive when I do, she takes the WRX/STI 2010.
So as a result the WRX only gets used on trips or when the wife needs a car.

So far the 2008 fit bought on july 4th 2008 has 26,000 miles on it.

So for a total of 8666 miles per year on it. A little less as it is not july 4th 2011 yet.

The Motorcycle was bought in 2008 as well, May to be exact. The motorcycle was only bought for fun and not for everyday use. The bike has 5000 miles on it.
So the bike has gotten roughly 1666 miles per year. Most of these miles put on for Bike week in Daytona, I go every year to biketober and bike week.

The WRX/STI bought in april of 2010 has 5600 miles. I have driven about 3 road trips totaling up to about 3600 miles. So most of this was done on trips alone.
so per year the WRX/sti has done about 5600 for the year including the road trips.

What do you drive per year?

It was around 17-20k a year on my G35.. Now it's about half as I carpool now and only drive my car every other week.

If only I as a courier driver still.. 😀 It was pretty badass being able to say that I drive 100,000 miles a year.

2010 Driving Statistics:

Total Miles: 8532.4
Average MPG: 56.885
Average $/Gal: $2.931
Average Miles/mo: 711.0333
Total Spent: $436.82
Average Cost/mo: $36.40

Those numbers will be hard to beat..
Maybe I should buy an insigh.

Car 1: Maybe 3000 It's 10 years old and has 40k on it most of it was put on in the 1st 2 years when I was actually commuting.

Car 2: Maybe 1000 It's 15 years old and has 40k on it also most of what was put on in the 1st 5 years.

2008 Grand Cherokee has 14K
1995 Taurus has 59K
1996 Lumina has 50K

So, not many...the GC would have 13K but I had to use it for an emergency 1K trip.

Bought my bike last june. Have about 4k on it now. Got my car in october and have almost 14k on it or about 24k miles/year at this rate

2009 Honda Odyssey -> 12,500 / yr
2006 Mitsubishi Evolution -> 6500 / yr
2004 Nissan 350z -> averages out to about 3500 / yr
1998 Mazda protege -> ~12k / a yr till about 2003, now only about 6000 /yr

in the 3 years i've own my g35x, i've only put down 20k, so thats about 6-7k per year.

its mainly work and back. averaging 18-19mpg lifetime so far. We normally go out in groups on the weekends so one person picks everyone up and we rotate. Now i picked up a bike i'm expecting to shave off about 1000 miles this year.

if the G35 got me about 28 highway miles i would find more reason to drive it.

I bought my bike in April 2008 brand new and it currently has almost 17,000 miles on it-all of it by me. I bought my car new in 2003 and it has 103,000 miles on it but right now I'm averaging 15,000 a year just in commuting which I've been splitting up between the car and the bike. The bike gets 45mpg city when I'm romping on it while the car gets about 20-21 average.

My wife has been averaging about 15,000 miles a year on her car too. She has a 2006 Lexus IS250 we also bought new in May of 2006. She has over 75,000 miles on it currently.

1998 Acura 3.5RL has 170k miles. -- 13k miles a year.
1973 Jaguar XJ6 4.2litre has 73k miles. -- 1900 miles a year. :awe:

Our Blazer is averaging 26K per year.

Our LeBaron turbo convert is averaging maybe 10K per year.

The Nighthawk is averaging under 4K per year.

Around 22,000 per year. My daily commute is ~90 miles round trip.

My GF does most of the day to day driving for us in her car, she has put 4000 miles or so on it since buying it in January.

How on earth do some of you drive 5k miles ayear? You must live three miles from work, and not go out of town much at all.
