about 4hrs a day spaced out

pre-engineering major.

I like to take my time and really try to understand the math/physics :0, and I'm a little slow too : P

but doing work everyday keeps me sharp.

Pearl River Community College.

I have homework free classes on Tuesday and Thursday, so it averages out. Calc is usually 20 problems or so and English is just reading 10 or 20 pages and writing a page on that.

this semester? Well this is the fourth week of school, and with my six classes tonight is the first night I've had any real homework. It took me about 20 minutes. I attend a community college, and I must say I'm am quite scared that when I transfer to a real college the amount of work I'll have to do is going to eat me alive. My classes aren't all slacker ones either (accounting, microecon, computer info systems, history, computer lab), it just somehow happens that I haven't had to do any real work yet

Man you guys have it easy.... each of my classes make me put in atleast 2 hours of reading a day. I have 2 classes alternating each day of the week so i read for two classes each night.

hard to quantify.

I spent a couple hours after dinner devoted to homework, but I also did homework before class in the morning (if I got up early or had a cancelled class), between classes, during lunch, and sometimes even during other classes.

my goal was to be done with everything except for studying by 8 pm, though, and I succeeded most nights. while my friends were pulling all-nighters because they slacked off all day, I was playing video games and getting in my 8 hours of sleep ;)

edit: forgot to mention that I also did homework while going to the bathroom... only readings, though.

Comp sci psets take me like 4-6 hours. For my humanities class I have to watch 2 movies a week, thats another 4-5 hours and then write questions, another 1 hour. EE class will prolly take me ~4ish hours a week, more for labs/tests. Math will be 2-3 hours a week I imagine.

Hmm...
Each class gives 1 problem set a week.
Econ reading/set = 3-5 hours
Math set = 2-5 hours
Physics set = 1-2 hours
Physics lab = 2-3 hours
Prob set = 2-3 hours

I may be underestimating since I do them in chunks. Averages out to ~15 hours a week, or 3 hours per night Sunday-Thursday, less if I can get some done on Friday/Saturday or between classes.

Each Chapter is 50 pages, we do one chapter a week for the two hard classes I have. The information is pretty dense and boring so I can never go that quick. Psych goes a little bit quicker but thers also more to read
