Unemployed bum.
School takes up 10 hours a week in class, and 30 hours at home studying or whatever.
If you're one of those people regulary working 60/70+ hours per week, you're doing it wrong.
Unless you're earning enough money that you can retire several decades early.
Very few people who work those hours are in that boat and they've done nothing except throw their best years away chasing a carrot dangled in front of them. No thanks. My time is too valuable to be working all those extra hours free to the employer. Now, if you're getting paid OT or something like that, it is different but I am referring to salaried, mid-level positions here.
I laughed too.

I always picture him as an angry midget

The person I'm thinking of is a friend of mine who's a manager at a big gov't contractor. Awful, awful hours but I know that she regularly makes $250k+ per year with bonuses. I couldn't work those kinds of hours forever, but if you suck it up & suffer for a few years and bank a big portion of your income it could give you a pretty nice level of financial freedom early on in life.
For the most part though I agree with your point. Life is not a contest to see who finishes with the most money in the bank and nobody ever went to their grave wishing they had spent more time in the office.
50-60 during slow weeks, and 100+ when busy. though, 40-50% of my yearly income is based on the revenue i generate. and every 14 days I get 7 off.
lol...I must be doing it wrong too, iI could be working some dead end for half the pay and 40 hours a week.
