what does this mean? I type with my first 3 fingers on my left hand, and my first two fingers on my right hand. I mostly use my right thumb to toggle the space-bar but sometimes use my left thumb as well.

I can type well enough...learned the "home row" method over 40 years ago, but all my fingers have been broken or smashed, or dislocated at least once...so some of them just don't "function" quite like they're supposed to...I took a "basic keyboarding" course in college a few years ago to improve my typing skills. I could type up to 75 WPM with minimal errors...but the instructor hated my technique, (pinky fingers do NOT work right, so my ring fingers have to do those jobs) so he gave me a "B" for the course. 😵 😛

I eschewed typing lessons in school, started out pecking and my brain worked out some sorcery where it types without conscious thought.

If I start thinginw abotu it I can'yt wtpe for thsio.

I use four fingers on my left hand and my right index. I'm right handed. Sometimes I have a little trouble with accuracy on new keyboards but it doesn't take long to adapt.

I had to actually start typing something to see exactly what I used. Shit, I think I'm pretty weird.

Index finger on left hand for left half of keyboard. Middle finger on right hand for right half of keyboard. Right index for space. Right ringer finger for shift.

No, I do not need to look at the keyboard. And I can do like 80wpm. While typing like a retard.

I made up my own method.

Pink: left pinky
Yellow: left ring finger
Orange: left middle finger
Red: left index finger
Brown: left thumb
Green: right index finger
Blue: right middle finger
Indigo: right ring finger
White: unused

My fingers tend to battle over the border keys.

That's basically home row. I bet you rest your index fingers on F and J.

Fuckin' weirdo. Here's how normal people do it-

muted poop like you have the day after a lot of drinking: left pointer
green baby poop: right middle
flourescent vagina: right pointer
pea soup: right ring
bloody stool: right pinky
teal (fucking ew, teal): left pinky
blue: WILDCARD, BITCHES

I type home row, about as standard as it gets. I just got a mechanical keyboard and love typing on it. I can type about 95 wpm if I'm being a tryhard, but more like 75 while posting or whatever because I don't care if I go that fast.

This. I hated formal typing class. I don't do it. I just type my own way, and it works out. I couldn't even define which fingers do what. It's all unconscious at this point.
