How many credit cards do you have?

I think 5, not including my debit cards. I have 2 for business, 2 personal and one I never use. I generally only carry 2 cards on me at a time though.

Two. I don't have as much money as my credit limit, so why bother. I only use one of them anyways. Some other people I know with more than 1 just take them cause they can, then throw it in the corner without activating them.

I honestly don't know. I carry one MC, VISA, AMEX & Discover. The rest are locked up. Every one is paid in full each month.

I'm not really sure. I think it's 5 or 6. I carry two with me at all times, Amex and Visa.

I used to get multiple junk credit card offers weekly in the mail. Now I'm not getting that many. I know it's not my credit, it's spotless. Not that I'm complaining. Less junk mail the better.

3 though its not necesarily the amount of cards you have, its the credit limit. Not too many people have credit limits 5x their income, aside from their mortgage.

3 CCs, 2 debit.

Two of the CCs have zero balance, the remaining has a 3k balance. That's my sole outstanding debt. Heh, my WaMu MC card just sent me a letter telling me they've increased my credit limit to 4k from the previous 2.5k. Good thing I shredded the card or I'd be tempted to go spend some money I don't have.

1 MC, 1 AMEX, 1 Discover + 2 visa debits.

It pays to have at least 1 card of each- sometimes there are promotions that give you a discount or bonus item only if you use a specific credit card (I check for such deals on fatwallet.com or slickdeals). Sometimes it also depends on bank issuing the card- such as citibank or chase.

I have always paid the balance in full. Discover gave me the highest level of credit

Just 2. One I never use. I actually don't know where the card is (it's somewhere in my house, there has been no activity on the card in the past 2 years). I should get one or two just to build a bit more credit. If I get a TV or something I might open an account at whatever store I get it at.

10+ but they were for a AOR.

What did you do with all those cards after the AOR was finished?

Better yet, how do people run more than one AOR? Do they just have like 30+ cards by the time they are finished?

Two - an American Express Blue and a Citibank Premier Pass MC. I alternate spending between the two, but put all my flights on the Premier Pass card.

I have nearly 10, but am not in debt. Most of them haven't been used in years. I had my first card back when I was 16, never had a problem with racking up debt, although I've had a number of friends rack up large debt on their first credit card that was for "emergency purposes only". 😉
