but it's an obession just grow with time passes. hehehehehe

I actually have 16 working systems here, but I can't plug them all in at once as that'll be expensive/ blow the fuse.

I have 3 within 4 feet of me, 2 in garage, that do work and are used (like home office kinda thing), 1 that sister uses in college

I need another pc to use to support my collecting habits, well i guess I don't NEED one but ya know. 😉 One to be my primary usage -> gaming system and the other to be my storage video/mp3/etc/etc system to be constantly stressed with downloads/burning. Laptop is for whatever, it's older and was my first computer.

I have systems that are usually dedicated to some task or another. For instance, I have a laptop in my car(so I can play mp3s and run ms streets and trips on vacations) and soon as I figure how to flip the display upside down, it's getting mounted in the roof.

I have 3 laptops I carry out to housecalls to troubleshoot issues. One runs win3.x and dos, another runs unix, another runs win9x.

I have a fileserver that is on all the time and doubles as an alarm clock.

I have lots of other systems that are used for one thing or another, including workstations, computers for parents to use.

Wanna know something really sick? I was tempted to wire a small pc104 computer to the coffee maker so I could check if it was on or not. I figured it was cheaper just to buy another coffee maker tho and keep in my room all the time.

I have 4 up and running right now.

Mine- 1.7 P4
Wifes 850 P3
Server 667 Celly
I also Have a laptop (400 K6🙁)

I am Building a 2.53 P4 next weekend so the my son can have the wife's comp, the wife gets mine, I get NEW😀

I've got 4 computers that are on constantly, and a working 386 in the closet. So 5 total.

Right now I have two, might be getting another one this summer, but will probably sell one of the old ones to a friend when that happens.

I don't want to be so plain, but why don't you build the 2.53 for your son? I'm sure he'll enjoy the speed in games. Of course, it's your son and your decision, but it's kind of strange to me that your kid gets the weakest PC in the family.
