Look at the cumulative sales totals of iPhone 5, 5s, 6 and 6+ sales, even if Apple only sells 1% of those iPhone owners a watch, that's 10 million easy, and you know they'll sell more than just that 1%.
I don't know, most people get their phones on contract still don't they?
I'm not sure how many people that are happy getting a subsidised phone are going to shell out $500 or so out of their own pockets for an accessory to that phone.
Now I think that smartwatches will have decent sales but just working out the sales as a percentage of phone sales seems to miss the point that the two things are sold in very different ways.
With Apple product loyalty, 1% is a slam dunk.
1% of all sales, non contact sales or subsidised sales?
I dont see the guy that got his phone free on contract forking out that much money for an accessory.

I read an interesting bit in an article today suggesting that crossover shopping between android/ios watches would likely be very little. I hadn't thought of it but if one works with one device/ecosystem, and the other works with the other, there isn't really a lot of competition going on there after all. In theory.
Curious if anyone here who ordered a Watch has received theirs yet. Mine's still processing, and probably won't ship for another couple of weeks.

I have mine. It's dope.
Second watch stuck in processing. It is a 38mm stainless steel with black sport band. I can only assume that all of America is obese or has lumberjack wrists because everybody is going 42mm. In my opinion you need 170mm+ wrists to make that look like a watch.
I only played with it for few minutes but I don't care for the watch at all and have no interest. I think it looks pretty good but that's about it. I don't see how it's very useful and touch accuracy and response isn't that precise for an Apple product.
I'm pretty sure I ordered later than you but my wife received hers yesterday afternoon. I ordered the watch close to 8:00 AM Friday morning and it showed June delivery at the time of the order. Maybe I got lucky because I ordered the 38mm version and they had more of smaller size in stock? I don't know. I ordered the 42mm version last night for my daughter after she saw the watch and wanted one too. It said June delivery too on last night's order but I'm hoping I get lucky again and it ships soon. I'm betting Apple is being super conservative with shipping estimates and all orders will arrive sooner than expected.
