Good reporters have sources who give them info that the government would need a warrant to obtain. The real key here is that if you don’t want your name associated with shady shit don’t do shady shit.

So, illegally obtained?

Two interesting things about the article. First, how did they get Mauldin's name? The domain is owned by Domains By Proxy, LLC, and registered in 2015. Sure, Mauldin could have registered through domain by proxy, but how was that info obtained? It would have required a court order, no?

Second interesting thing, according the article:

So, you're going with the innuendo of criminal conspiracy theory? There's no indication that finding Mauldin's identity was criminal at all.

It's also amazing that you can both sides it, compare the massive TrumpGOP/Russian effort of 2016 with a tiny effort in Alabama. It's obviously a winning set of tactics so Dems will try to play catch up. To what extent remains to be seen but it's obvious that the GOP will be back with a vengeance. Macedonian teens will be raking it in, too, playing American conservatives for the suckers that they are.

First of all, I was simply asking a question based on my knowledge of domain registration. I didnt make any allegations. I asked.

Second, I didnt both sides. I simply commented. The article did the both sides.

Tool.

I have no idea and neither do you.

Most importantly is the story true or not? Again if you don’t want your shady shit coming to light don’t do shady shit.

I have no idea either I was simply asking questions. As you know, just because an article says something 1. doesnt make it true, and 2. doesnt mean information gathered was legal. Also, registering through a proxy isnt shady. Its common and done all the time for many reasons. But to my knowledge to get the owner behind the proxy requires a court order. If done legally that is.

1. Ok
2. The website itself is the shady act here not the registration.
3. I highly doubt the reporter committed any illegal acts here. Whoever may gave the the reporter the information most likely violated a company policy/contractual obligation but unless you can point me to the specific statute that makes sharing that information a crime on its own it wasn’t a criminal act. Just because it is illegal for the government to obtain information without a warrant doesn’t make it illegal out side of standard civil remedies for it to be shared.

Yeah conservatives have been treating liberals as the enemy since the 70s at least. But oh boy, if the liberals get sick of it and resort to the same tactics, now we have a problem. Get the fuck out of here and go vote Republican. That will show us.
Well, that's exactly what happened last election. How'd that work out for you? It's almost like some of you WANT Trump 2.0.

Actually, it looks like Comains By Proxy will sing like a canary if approached properly. So, it probably wasnt difficult to get the owners name.

Curious why the domain was registered in 2015 though.

Yup, it's the big mean liberals that made people vote for Trump. How about GTFO 2.0?

You want to know why Trump won? A few thousand “deplorables” in a few key states voted for him. Why? Because he asked them for their vote. Hillary and Democrats said they didn’t want their votes because they weren’t ideologically pure.

Because Biden was a potential candidate in 2015? Seriously I wouldn’t be shocked if the same person or group had registered sites for anyone they saw as a potential contender.

Yeah no. Trump promised easy (not real) solutions to their problems. Hillary didn’t pander and instead proposed actual solutions that would have required people to make changes and were difficult.

I'm just trying to let you know that kicking people in the teeth is guaranteed to win zero of them over to your way of thinking. If your hate compels you to keep kicking rather than maybe win a few converts and votes, so be it.

Remember, all you have is words to try and win votes. You have no stick or carrot. And the words you choose are full of vile insults rather than showing the opposition why it's in their best interest to vote out the current administration.

"STOP FUCKIN' YER SISTER AND VOTE DEM" ain't gonna work. Shit, you almost make me want to vote FOR Trump. Happy now? Ah, whom I kidding...Dems don't need my vote...you guys have this next election in the bag, right? Right?

Wow, man. Where do you get your drugs? It didn't take ideological purity to vote for Hillary. You just had to think with the head on your shoulders instead of the head of your dick.

Isn't it fun watching them cling to the deplorables bullshit... Like those people are so enamored by Trump and all of his kept promises for their great prosperity. He is done nothing but lie, cheat, steal. I hope the GOP continue to count on these people's vote again in 2020.

Less than 100K in a couple midwest States... That's all it was....

Are they so sure they love the lawlessness and disorder they have witnessed the last couple of years?

All the insults and name calling done by Trump and the GOP vs the word Deplorables... I wonder what sticks out more...

Snowflakes...

Hey, Victorian Gray, I agree it's old. That's why I can't believe Dank hasn't learned any lessons from it.

Ditto. Unless you found a stick that will force folks who hate you to vote the way you want.

Engaging with brandonbull is like trying to engage with the creator of this fake website. The facts never mattered and it’s all about the trolling. Brandonbull has fully embraced modern post truth projectionism.

That's hilarious because the next time you are concerned with facts will be your first. We know that Demcorat operatives created "Russian" sounding social media accounts to create misinformation during the last senate election in Alabama. I guess those are lies. Was that the first time fake "Russians" tried to influence elections?

The subject wasn’t Alabama but your personal credibility. Nothing you said changes that you have none here.

Heh. They were Republican sounding, not Russian sounding. The Russians sounded like extreme Bernie Bros, didn't they? Well, at least the ones who weren't chumping conservatives with sites like tenn_gop.

Demonizing Trump supporters doesn't help much. It actually tends to unify his base against us, and guarantees they will never hear our message as anything other than that of the enemy. These people are still our fellow citizens, voters and we need them to see reason eventually. Kicking someone in the teeth and calling them names isn't the best way to win them over to a new way of thinking.
That's just crazy talk. We're talking about stupid people here, they have to be put in their place, they have to know who their betters are. Once they understand the depths of their ignorance, they'll vote progressive. Count on it.
