Trump Consultant Is Trolling Democrats With Biden Site That Isn’t Biden’s

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/29/us/politics/fake-joe-biden-website.html

I mean ... REALLY? So information is my enemy, thus information must die. Trump logic. Two can play that game.
No, never lower yourself to play at their dirty game. They'll beat us with experience anyway.

But that is pretty F'd up. Sad folks are willing to toss out ethics in an attempt to win, but it's nothing new.

I was typing out a different reply when I observed my error. You are correct. We must stay the course of truth. Truth matters. Truth is all we got.

Putting up a misleading website like this is childish, so I'm sure Trump thinks it's great. That being said i wonder if the Biden campaign could either get an ICANN arbiter to turn over website name or judge to issue an injunction. Not up on my 1A law so unsure if the later is possible.

Sounds like something Ted Cruz did to get into office.

The assault on Roe v Wade isn't done yet, citizenship question got shot down, approval ratings suck, and Il Douche becomes more unhinged and closer to risk the closer we get to Mueller's testimony. Republicans are scared and desperate. Make fun of the total number contending for primary if you want, but Dems have some very capable people up for the job and ANY of them could run circles around Trump in anything save Klan rally cheerleader and maybe golf. Time is not on the GOP's side. Watch Pelosi "acquiesce" on impeachment hearings so we get to savor them starting May-June 2020.

Trump's not that good at golf when he has to play by the rules, he never qualified for any Pro-Am tournaments he entered.

Just saw another article that Republicans are donating to Williamson in order to keep her in the debates because they think she is dragging them all down or something. Anything to win I guess. It's understandable since they can't run on actual issues.

Correct, he is an average player at best as I understand it, enjoys cheating. Hence the word 'maybe.'

Calling Trumpanzees scum, is like calling water wet.
Demonizing Trump supporters doesn't help much. It actually tends to unify his base against us, and guarantees they will never hear our message as anything other than that of the enemy. These people are still our fellow citizens, voters and we need them to see reason eventually. Kicking someone in the teeth and calling them names isn't the best way to win them over to a new way of thinking.

Can't fix stupid.

Can't stop someone from banging their kid sister, when it's all they've ever known.

Biden is the worst candidate anyway. May as well vote for that fucktard CEO who threatened to run as an Independent. Better yet, just make David Brooks DNC Chair. That's what Biden is.

I guess liberals don't like it when some plays the fake internet information game against them.

Show me evidence that this is a tit-for-tat strategy that the democrats (an actual politician or their aides) have utilized in the past if you're going to claim some "both sides!!" bullshit. Oh, nm...you can't. Dumb shit.

When have liberals done something directly analogous to this?

My impression is that US liberals hamstring themselves by being obsessed with 'civility' and 'playing by the rules', not to mention 'bipartisanship' Then they lose to Republicans who have none of those restraints (edit - I have to say the hard left, certainly the European variety, has never felt itself under any such restraint - they are much more like Republicans when it comes to ends vs means).

The use of false-flaggery, and in particular of right-wingers adopting left-wing arguments in order to attack centrists or the centre-left seems to be a feature of our time. I don't remember that happening nearly as much in the past. I suppose the internet (with it's ease of misrepresentation) has hugely facilitated that practice, but it seems like a trend that has been slowly growing for a long time, quite aside from the internet.

No, they do not. Your point?
Its so fucking awesome to watch team Trump do all these retarded things, then after or druing the fact accuse dems of doing just that. Its like holding the bloody knife in hand and when caught go "no I didnt... you did" .... And then watch you lob it all up.
Its a special price of stupid. Congrats.

Engaging with brandonbull is like trying to engage with the creator of this fake website. The facts never mattered and it’s all about the trolling. Brandonbull has fully embraced modern post truth projectionism.

Yeah conservatives have been treating liberals as the enemy since the 70s at least. But oh boy, if the liberals get sick of it and resort to the same tactics, now we have a problem. Get the fuck out of here and go vote Republican. That will show us.

The weirdest thing about this sort of thing, is not that it could be mistaken for a real page from the candidate (looking at them they appear obviously satirical) it's more that it involves right-wingers pretending to be mocking from the left, and attacking centre-leftists for doing things right -wingers, in reality, approve of.

E.g. the guy's page about Harris that mocks her for being a hard-line law-and-order type. Does anyone for a moment think the average Trump supporter objects to Harris because she defended the death penalty?

It would be like me taking a pop at John McCain for his opposition to the use of torture.

Two interesting things about the article. First, how did they get Mauldin's name? The domain is owned by Domains By Proxy, LLC, and registered in 2015. Sure, Mauldin could have registered through domain by proxy, but how was that info obtained? It would have required a court order, no?

Second interesting thing, according the article:
It is buyer beware, and not just for unwitting Democrats. In 2017, a group of Democrats took a page out of the Russian playbook and posed as conservatives to try to divide Republicans in Alabama’s special Senate election, a race narrowly won by a Democrat. And as the 2020 campaign gets underway, election experts say they see signs that Americans from both sides of the political divide are getting ready to do the same. National security officials are also warning that Russia will again try to disrupt the election by spreading disinformation.

Good reporters have sources who give them info that the government would need a warrant to obtain. The real key here is that if you don’t want your name associated with shady shit don’t do shady shit.

Meh, with Trump and his nasty habits as their role model and their efforts at sabotaging the Dem's efforts via social media financed and supported in large part by Putin and his pals, I'd expect things to get a whole lot worse.

The more obvious and undeniable it becomes of Trump's crimes in and out of office, the more desperate he and his supporters will get. I expect nothing less than an all-out effort toward committing any and all manner of skullduggery in their efforts to keep Trump in office and out of the hands of the authorities.

Obviously, things will get much worse if Trump is not impeached before the 2020 campaign runs it's course.

Funny thing about it all, Trump's supporters will try every dirty deceptive illegal thing including violence to help Trump, but the Dems had better not reply in kind because it would then be considered as acts of high treason and sedition against the nation (Trump).
