I have been with my fiance for 6 months. We have known each other and have been best friends for 9 years. We got engaged on New Years eve. We plan on getting married in about a year and a half when she graduates college.

 
Met her in Februaruary.
Started dating her in April.
Proposed in November. About 7 months.
We don't get married until November 😉

we were together for 2yrs 9 months before getting married. Been married now for 11yrs 5mo and have been together for 14yrs 3mo
 
Met my wife-to-be in 1990, proposed in '96, got married in the fall of '97. May seem like a long time to date, but I was a but a wee frosh in college when I met her and 26 when we married.
 
Dated for almost 6 years as we went through college. Been married for 4 years now. In fact the 10 year anniversary of our first date is coming up this week. Glad I saw this thread.
 
Dated for about 4 years. Proposed Valentines day 2000, got married Sept 2 2000.

Damn, I never though of it that way... doesn't seem like it's been 8 years.
 
Met in July, started dating in August, decided to get married in October, got engaged in January, got married in May, been married for about 1.5 years.

question for you,during that time did you think your wife was desparate ,boring because she wasn't a challenge or otherwise lose respect for her because she paid for everything?Did her value as a woman decrease to you?
 
Wife #1: We dated for about 3 years, lived together for 1 of those years, got married then divorced after 5 years.

Wife #2: We dated for about 4 years, lived together for 2 of those years, got married. Still married, going on year 5.
 
8 months long distance
3 1/2 years living together

He started asking to get married after one year living together and asks every month or so. He knows that I am in no hurry, so there is no formal proposal. But as soon as I am ready, there will be.

I like things the way they are. We love each other, care for and about each other and are very commited to relationship. No need to muck it up by getting married.

I'm actually proposing on our 5 year anniversary which will be the 29th of this month...let's hope she says yes 😀
