Just curious to see what ATOT's average daily commute is. Takes me about 1.5 hours each way depending on traffic, sometimes more and sometimes less.

As long as there are no wrecks and I leave before rush hour, my drive is between 43-45 minutes each way. Love my podcasts. The Joe Rogan Experience and Adam Corolla Project make the drive easier.

It used to be 5 minutes when I lived in town. Now it's 10 minutes since we moved outside of town to get more acreage.

45 minutes each way on the dc metro. i watch shows/movies on my phone each way. i've watched a lot of series this way heh.

I listen to NPR on the way in. I'll be bringing podcasts along once I get the new receiver for my car.

Wow, that's awesome... I'm jealous. 😛

Rural area, live about 4 miles from center of town, trip to work is about 5 - 10 minutes.

If my wife and I stop at sonic and get breakfast, it might take 15 minutes to get to work.

it's about 20 mins for me if i leave on time...if i leave even 5 minutes late, it goes to 35-40 mins...

i get to work late a lot. heh.

30 to 40 mins each way usually.

No highway. All back roads and 20 miles door to door.

I used to do a commute years ago that averaged 1.5 to 2 hours each way. Never again!

If I'm 45 mins or less then I'm ok.

Hoping to get it more to 15 mins each way tips in the next year or two.

Mine is 25-30 minutes by bike.

I could drive, but with traffic and finding a parking spot, it would actually take longer to do so.

Besides, I kinda like it. An hour on the bike each day is pretty decent exercise, which helps me stay in shape.

It would be about 5 minutes, but the gym I go to every morning is 30 minutes away, so I end up driving for an hour total before I get to work.

less than 15 minutes. i just walk downstairs and I'm there.

used to be about 50 minutes each way

22 miles each way. It takes about 25 minutes with no traffic and about 45 minutes with traffic. In about a week my commute will be 7 miles against the flow of traffic (about 9 minutes).

Before the layoff, it was about 20 minutes, for a distance of 18 miles, all NJ highway. Lost about 3-4 minutes on homebound run, due to merging traffic on RT287 at the RT80 merge. After you pass that, it is all 65MPH zone and most are doing 75MPH easily. Add in 1 or 2 red lights that you get stuck at.

2 min walk to subway
0-5 min wait
8 min ride
0-2 min wait for transfer
8 min ride
10 min walk to work

I get out of bed and walk 30 feet to the computer...😛

I remember commuting for work though...Some jobs, only 30-45 minutes, but most were 1.5 hours or more each way. That sucks...especially if I had to make the drive during the rush hour periods when it could easily take 3 hours.
