How long have you owned your car?

I rarely own a car more than a year or 2.

2002 Maxima, bought in March '10
1996 Saturn, bought in June '09

Why do you buy shitty old cars and then get rid of them after a year or two, only to buy another shitty old car? Why not just keep driving the original?

I've had my truck for 6 years now.

Prior to this truck the longest was 3 years.

I have to admit, it's nice not having a car payment.

wife has a 96 ford escort she purchased new when it came out (wich i think was summer of 95 actually). it has 130k miles and still runs as good as it did when new.

i have a 2000 windstar with 155k miles (main vehicle) wich we are thinking of trading in. There is nothing wrong with it and still runs and looks good. but thinking of getting large SUV or a full size van.

I don't see the point of trading in a car after a year or two. seems a waste of money

I've had my truck for 5 years.

I had my daily driver for 10 years and sold it just because my truck needed enough routine maintenance to let me know I should be driving it more, so I sold the car to pay for the bill.

I have a bad habit of not keeping cars past the initial warranty. I hope to change that with my RX-8 though. Cars are an expensive hobby.

I've had my Civic 5 years. It's an 05. It actually belongs to me dad who helped me buy it after my 1989 Mazda 626 finally rusted out. Going to sell it in a year or two when my insurance rates go down after I turn 25.

I bought my '99 Grand Am in November of '98 so it's been 11.5 years so far.

depends on which vehicle. my truck i got in 06, my cadillac i got back in 98 and my bike i got back in 89.

Almost 4 years.

1992 Accord I inherited in July 2006 after my grandmother passed away. I'm the third owner of the vehicle. Only has 141,000 km; I'll be keeping it a while longer I think.
