How long have you had highspeed internet access (cable/dsl/etc)

I got a bellsouth cable modem 12/96, now using directtv dsl. Just curious to see how long people have had high speed internet access.
 
I've had DSL since October 1999, was one of the first on my block to get it.

I hate how expensive it is but could never live without it.
 
I've payed for it for maybe 9 months, but I haven't had it for that long.....I was out of internet for 27 hours ending about 46 minutes ago. Damned switching IP addresses on me!

Same here since September 2000 but yeah going from my T3 at college to my 56k at home SUCKS SO MUCH
 
since sept 1999.... college T1 line

still on a modem at home- comcast still doesnt offer high speed access to my area.
 
i had ethernet for two years in college in the dorms, and then used dial up from then until just last month i finally got cable. god it is so nice!!!
