I was born in 1991. I think I started gaming as soon as I could move a mouse, when I was three or four years old. My family wasn't into video games (they still aren't) so I had no consoles, the PC was my only gaming machine.

My mom (maybe it was my dad?) picked up DOS shareware diskettes from the store and we'd install them on Windows 3.1. I was too young to understand that most of them were merely demos; but I didn't care. I played them anyway.

Atari, Commadore 64(then 128), all manner of 386 dos games and kept going strong until now. I was born in 1977, so 27/28 years if I am guessing right?

First PC was a TRS-80 Color Computer. Had the first Atari (1977), and the Pong 'console' before that.

My family's first VCR cost almost $900. It weighs about 47 pounds, and still works.

Been through Atari, Colecovision, Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, and all their variants.

Been through the TRS-80 tape cassette drive PC, early Apples, and the Commodore 64 which gave us joy untold when we used the speech synthesis to say dirty words as a teenager.

First game however, if you don't count Pong, was an Egyptian text adventure. It was pretty cool, because if you went back toward the start (West) after moving three room East, you found a secret.

I used to play a lot of Rogue on my grandpa's 386 as early at 88-89. The first PC of my own was a 486 DX2-66 in 1993 or 1994. I forget where we ordered it from but it was $1,300.00 and mid-range, I think.

Playing MegaRace off of a CD-ROM was pretty amazing stuff.

Since early 90's... so like 20 years. That's crazy.

I really got into it when Diablo came out which I think was 95 or 96? Before that it was more a casual thing. The earliest game I remember playing a lot was Rampage for DOS. That, and sokoban.

First game I played on the PC was Simcity in middle school (~1992). We had computer lab and you were allowed to play after you finished your day's assignment. Needless to say I flew through the assignments and was sure to get to class early so I could get the same PC to continue my game from the previous week. They also had games like Math Blaster in elementary school, but I don't really consider that PC gaming.

Games I recall playing at home are Wolfenstein, Doom, Alone in the Dark and Red Alert. Didn't ahve my one PC until '98 when I was in college and that's when it really took off.

First game I remember playing was Oregon trail. That was fun so I consider it gaming even tho it was on school computers lol. I think I was like 8 or 9. So I'm 28 now so I'll say 20 years. Other games include where in the world is Carmen sandiego. Monster truck madness. Age of empires. Etc

I played some Apple IIe games back in the late 80's. My most memorable early gaming experience would have to be Tele-Arena on MajorBBS in the early 90's.

Probably since about 1989 or 1990. Used to play the games in the school computer lab. Of course they were all educational. 1994 is when I started my true gaming career since my dad's PowerMac CAD system could actually handle most games of the era.

I know I played a few computer games on Apple II's beforehand, but I remember starting gaming with our first computer running a Cyrix 486DX4 in late 1995. Descent was the first game I got into (included with the comp), and MechWarrior 2 was the first I actually purchased for myself.

23-24 years maybe? I remember playing on our old Packard Bell PC.

so almost a quarter century of nothing but PC games (we had a NES and Sega but those did not compare to the pc). I call that dedication...

I've always been a computer gamer. Starting when I was really little, around 4 or 5 years old, on my parents' Mac IIcx. My mom has always been self-employed so she has used computers for as long as I can remember, and I would get the hand-me-downs.

I'd get Mac games from Macworld CDs, or from AOL, and occasionally I'd save up my allowance and buy one or register one of the shareware games (Escape Velocity was the best!).

I attempted to keep gaming on Macs for years, off and on, but it was a lost cause and I switched to Windows full time in 2007.

Didn't own a console until I bought a GameCube in 2003, although I did have a GameBoy for a long time. I've also owned a PS2, Xbox, Wii, and Xbox 360, but they always got old and I went back to PC gaming.

Long story short I guess I've been PC gaming for about 24 years.

I got hooked on PC gaming when my uncle got a Tandy 1000. We would go to his place like once a year around Christmas and I sat in front of that thing the whole time we were there, lol. A few years later my parent bought our own PC, a 486 I was in 7th grade, that was about 1991/1992

as for consoles, I had a nes when they came out. I remember getting Dragon Warrior for free from Nintendo Power, haha

As long as I can remember. I guess the first time I played computer games would have been about 1984.

Avoid the Noid
Xenobots
Dune
Prince of Persia
...some more but can't remember.
