How long have you been "PC" gaming?

I bought my first PC (a 286) in 1991 but I had been gaming on "personal" computers since 1982 and on mainframes since about 1977. I'll take credit for 31 years. The hobby has kept my mind sharp, even as I age. I have enjoyed it immensely and hope to do so for a long time to come.

So how says you? 31 years for me ... how about you?
 
I remember playing Congo bongo on the commodore 64. Probably been playing games on the PC for 25 of my 28 years. Not even sure how old I am. Lol.
 
1996. My Dad worked as a system builder for a reasonably sized company for a few years when we moved to New Zealand, and he'd bring home copies of those freeware/shareware software compilations that they used to include with their PCs. That's what I grew up playing: Doom (Episode 1 only, of course), S.C.A.R.S. (if anyone still remembers that game and knows where to get a copy, PM me), Jetpack, etc.

Then when I moved, the computers at my new school had GliderPro, Lemmings, and Sim City 2000. I used to get to school at 7:30am and play until school started, then when I had finished my work I'd play some more.

Those were the good old days. The graphics sucked, but the gameplay was fantastic and the games themselves seemed endless. I had the best time ever. Now I have Dota, Mass Effect, Civ V, and other great games, but somehow they still don't feel as good as when I was 9 and guiding my lemmings to glorious victory to the sound of a MIDI-fied Turkish March.
 
I started on a Vic 20 in 81 or so and then moved to a Commodore 64, then to a Commodore 128, followed by an Amiga 2000, and then my first Intel box.
 
I remember spending my early childhood playing the likes of Karateka, Lode runner, Pacman, etc. It wasn't an IBM PC (had a power switch/lever on the right side of the case) but I was too young to know. That would have been around 1984-85, I think.
 
I never owned a console in my life.

My gaming started when my parents bought me a PC at 15 yo. Doom & Diablo 1 were absolutely incredible.
 
I got my first gaming-capable PC in around summer 2001, so approximately 12 years or so by now. Although my first PC ever was back earlier in 2000, but it was pre-built and could barely play Diablo II. On a side note, I first got access to Internet (with my first ever ISP) and browsed it first on my Sega Dreamcast (with the mouse and keyboard, thank you very much) in late 2000. Ah... SegaNet, oh the memories (especially with Quake 3 Arena).
 
i got my pc 2002, so 11 years for me. 1st game i played was red alert 2 and still love playing it.
 
Earliest I can remember was in 1983, I was about 4 or 5 years old and I played a game called Styx along with a few others.
