Did it this weekend. Papa John's Chicken Alfredo Pizza is my weakness. It neither fills me up nor gets old. Every bite is an adventure.Originally posted by: dadeef
can u guys eat a whole pie in one sitting (large pie by the way)? I weigh 145 and can do it with ease(I used to be fat!).
Hell he doesn't even bother taking a seat, he just hovers over it untill it's all gone:laugh:Originally posted by: Geekbabe
depends on who's home, if my son is here it's pretty amazing if the pizza gets a chance to be fully warmed up before it's gone![]()

I'd imagine a food with as many extra calories, and also as unhealthy as pizza wouldn't be good for you either.

Why is pizza "unhealthy" to someone who doesn't need to avoid fat?
And when bulking, a bodybuilder needs all the calories he can get. Especially if he's a hard gainer.
It's only unhealthy if you need to lose weight or you eat it too often. Other than that it's pretty healthy food. It's probably a lot better for you than most fast food places (though if I'm wrong I'm sure Amused will correct meOriginally posted by: Amused

Just don't eat the whole pie. Eaten in moderation Pizza isn't unhealthy at all. BTW, the diet of a Body Builder is not one that most people should look to emulate. I lift and am pretty buffed but I don't consider my self any kind of Body Builder and I wouldn't want to be, especially if I had to adhere to their strict diet.Originally posted by: BigJ

Well when I think of a slice of greasy pepperoni pizza, it usually doesn't strike me as the healthiest of things.
My friends brother is an amateur body builder, and I know he has extreme control over his diet, even in the bulking phase in which I've seen him eat a lot of pastas and stuff, but never pizza.
I don't know, I guess I figured if you really needed the calories during a bulking phase, there'd be much better alternatives then pizza.

When I originally made the comment, I didn't know how often this guy ate pizza; I was assuming it was around once every 3 weeks or more frequent, which I think would probably have a negative effect on a body builders routine.
And relatively, its not unhealthy at all compared to fast food places like you said, but when seeing how strict my friends brothers diet is, I guess I just couldn't see him sticking in some pizza that often.

Hmm. actually my comments weren't aboiut how good it was for the diet of a Body Builder but how health Pizza was in general when eaten in moderation.
To be perfectly honest I rarely eat Pizza because it would be too difficult for me to eat in moderation![]()
