How long does it take to format a 250Gb HD?

go for a stroll, of get some chips from the street down the store, walking
by then time you're back, it'll be done

either that, or go watch some tv/play console
 
My dad did a 200GB about a week ago and he said it took him about 45 minutes. I'd expect somewhere from 50 minutes to an hour for a 250GB.

er..... I'm just curious since I have not done a full normal format for the past 5 years 😛 but man this SUCKS!!!!!!!.

time for some popcorn and a movie.
 
No need for regular format unless it's a well-used HDD or has bad sectors, according to the instructions that came with mine.
