Just don't choose the write zeros to disk, as I had to do once. Took 4 hours for a 40gb drive, so you can imagine how long it'd take on a 100-120gb drive...
Ummm... why would you want to zero fill a brand new drive? There's no data on there to erase. Just do a quick format and be done with it in less than 2 minutes.
