Now, I know we have some young members on here.. and that's OK. I remember the 13 year old who built his own computer with money he earned... and that's cool.
But, madeupfacts, if he isn't under the age of 13, sure acts like it. Yeah, we all can make stupid threads/posts sometimes in ATOT (I admit I've done it before), but that is ALL he does. Out of his nearly 500 posts, I only see 5 outside of Off Topic.

This one post about Matlab almost makes me believe he has some functional brain cells.. which to me just goes to show that his purpose of being here is to troll.

I would almost go so far as to say it's Quarsky/TheBattwhatever, but I have no proof.

Now, if I'm the only one that thinks this way and the mods don't care, I'll just place him on my ignore list and move on. But I am curious to know if anyone else agrees.

Whether to ban a member, or not, has never been left to a common vote. Typically, it is frowned upon to call anyone out, especially like this. If we see something ban worthy, we will take action, but until then, the point is mute. At this point, we have no evidence to prove he is a returning banned member. That being said, this thread is now closed.

Due to his typing and behavoir that really doesn't match any recent banned members, I'd say that it is a current member with a second account behind a proxy (hence why the Mods have probably already checked his IP and found nothing).

Both are possible though, but one thing is for sure, he defintely has been here before. I'd say he joined in late 2005 by what he is using to piss off other members.

(Yeah I know, I have no life, but I like researching this stuff )

He's incredibly annoying. Every time I read a thread topic and think "wtf" to myself, I look to the right and see who the originator of the thread is... About 1/3 of the time, it's madeupfacts. However, his only offense is simply being annoying (perhaps intentionally). There are quite a few people who commit worse "crimes" who are not banned.

Of course, I have no doubt that he's a formerly banned member.

Hey, if you guys perma-banned the harmless "The Battosai" then this sucker needs to hit the curb like yesterday. It's one thing to be an intentional troll(like MUF) and another to just be annoying unintentionally.

I don't suggest we ban him based upon breaking any rules, or simply being an OTer...but he just refuses to conform to any community standards of courtesy to others. The rest of the community doesn't want him around, and it is based on the way he acts. I suspect that if you took a poll of people with the question "Would You Like MUF banned" and the options "Yes" "No" and "I don't know enough to form an opinion" you'd find that Yes to beat No by a wide margin.

I know several people like him. In truth, those people can serve as a kind of comical relief here in the forums because even those who normally argue against eachother unite to make fun of people like him.

To respond to the last few posts.. I started this thread because I believe that madeupfacts is a troll, and nothing more than a troll. I believe that he joined here to do nothing more than intentionally make stupid posts and replies. I think this comes down to whether or not we should tolerate trolls on this board. Like I said, we all make stupid posts/replies in ATOT, but most of us at least try to contribute in some way. Instead, all we get from madeupfacts is nonsensical ramblings. I cannot think of a single user on this board who posts such mindless crap. We have people like mjuszczak who post endless YAGTs that aren't taken seriously anymore because he posts so many, but he posts them because it's something he seriously wants to know. Instead, from madeupfacts, we get "have u ever notice old people r very mean? I know y now."
I think madeupfacts understands exactly what he's doing; so well to the point that he hasn't said/done one single thing that stands out as a bannable offense. He makes stupid threads/posts, people flame him, but he knows not to get caught flaming other members. But if you take a step back and look at his posts as a whole, you will see he is just here to troll.
I don't think anything will be done about it though, not until he does something seriously bannable. Until then I suspect he will be free to troll the forums. I suppose I will just use notfred's Greasemonkey ignore script.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong about the whole thing... but so far we've got 23 people (76.67%) saying they want him gone, too... so who knows.
