I think madeupfacts understands exactly what he's doing; so well to the point that he hasn't said/done one single thing that stands out as a bannable offense. He makes stupid threads/posts, people flame him, but he knows not to get caught flaming other members. But if you take a step back and look at his posts as a whole, you will see he is just here to troll.
I don't think anything will be done about it though, not until he does something seriously bannable. Until then I suspect he will be free to troll the forums. I suppose I will just use notfred's Greasemonkey ignore script.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong about the whole thing... but so far we've got 23 people (76.67%) saying they want him gone, too... so who knows.

A chunk of OT also couild fall under the same category as being a troll/comic/pain/egomanic

Let the Mods determine what his status should be

But I agree with the basic premise of his post.

Well, I think most of us agree in principle, but there obviously needs to be a feedback loop. The mods need to know how the users feel, since it's their job to make it a comfortable forum for the majority of users and it's our job not to run whining to moddy every time we get called a mean name.

The problem with any feedback loop is it will be abused.

As was said by a few people; it's up to the mods.
It's nice to have a thread where people can express their feelings to the mods about particular members; but voting seems to be going a bit too far.

No one ever said or suggested or implied that the results of the poll would produce a particular outcome.

As I previously mentioned, madeupfacts has not made one single bannable offense, but if you look at every single one of his posts as a whole, you will see that he is a troll - and once again I don't think AT should tolerate trolls.
Since we have several moderators here, each one could have seen a handful of his posts and thought nothing of it.. I made this post to present my opinions to the moderators to see if they agreed, and to see if anything could be or needed to be done.

I have already added madeupfacts to my ignore list, so I don't particulaly care anymore. Obviously 27 (or even 100.. or 500) people voting that he should be permabanned won't get him banned.

This is going nowhere. No one has proof he is a formerly banned user, and he hasn't yet made a single post yet that is bannable on its own. The mods may continue to invistagate at their own will, but I don't care anymore.

It was a nowhere thread to begin with. If we banned everybody who was annoying, there'd be 2 people left. And Anand would be one of 'em.
