I've found that the best method is to just act like a Women's gorgeous behind or rack isnt there and completely ignore it, also when it comes to p0rn and what not, I find the best method is to just keep busy at all time, and not actually surf the net, usually when i get bored i go look at p0rn or something. ---Now heres my question, how is a man supposed to contain himself sexually? if sex before marriage is wrong, masturbation is wrong, then there is no way for a man to relieve himself without sinning? The build up of sexual tension is so strong, that to relieve it is like a natural process just like using the bathroom or something. I think God intended us to all have wives at age 16 or so..so we wouldnt have theese problems in our later years.

I don't even bother trying *not* to lust. Why should I? If she's hot enough to lust after, I lust away, happily and proudly. Often, my GF, who's Bi, also sits there and lusts.

At least, until the movie's over, then it's horizontal mambo time :)

All I have to say is living that type of life just leads to self destruction, and I know that you can't be truly happy without CHrist in your life.

LOL, that's what you've been told to believe, I'm sure, but I can assure you there's no truth to it. Yes, some folks DO destroy themselves that way, but the fact is that plenty of folks destroy themselves as overzealous Christians, Jews, Muslims (ESPECIALLY Muslims).

As for Christ, I've studied his life and teachings extensively, and I don't think that most CHRISTIANS understand his work at all. All they're interested in, for the most part, is escaping the dread they feel about the fact that one day they're going to die. I don't fear it, and I don't fear God nor Jesus, nor will I ever. I think he was an interesting philosopher who did a good job of distilling the essence of a true and sublime morality into a simple concept: Do unto others as you would have done unto you. The frauds who followed him, including that bastard Saul/Paul, did nothing more than distort his teachings to the point where it's a load of work to extract the truth of it.

It's unfortunate that Jesus committed the sin of never writing down his own teachings.

Jason

Actually, I know plenty of people who's lives were destroyed by sin, and I bet you do too: you end seeing them on tv and in newspaper headlines. Unless you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and have accepted Him as your personal saviour, reading the Bible is good, you won't be able understand it fully nor appreciate the truths within it. You're right that "do unto others" is important, but even more important is to "love God with all thine heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy might".

I'm not afraid of death. Sure, I would prefer not to die a horrible painful death, but I'm not afraid of dying because I know who is in control of all things and where my final destination is.

Wow, the brainwash is strong with this one...

Well if you are gonna spread that poo, i am gonna refer to one of my favorite quotes ever!!

"So what's more likely? That an all-powerful, mysterious God created the Universe, and decided not to give any proof of his existence? Or, that He simply doesn't exist at all, and that we created Him, so that we wouldn't have to feel so small and alone?"

IMHO religeon is a crutch, nothing more.

yup, Matthew 5:28.

I'm a catholic and I believe I break that commandment on a regular, daily basis.

Do I feel bad for lusting after someone? No. it's human nature.

edit: what's scary is that I was talking to a fundie (charamastic fundamentalist for all those not aware of the slang), and he thought it was satanic to lust after a woman. How can it be a sin to have sexual attraction to another person is beyond me.

Now, do I go over and fvck every girl I have a sexual attraction to? hell no.

So as someone else said, it's ok to feel a sexual attraction towards different people, as long as you act in the appropriate manner.

There's a reason your arms are the perfect length to reach down there... If God REALLY didn't want you playing with yourself, your dick would be right in the middle of your back.

you also have to remember that the Bible is a GUIDE. DO NOT read the bible as black and white.

It was written by human beings inspired by the holy spirit. Stories which were past down by mouth. And if it really is adultery to lust after a woman, I lost track as to how many times I've committed adultery

I don't mean to sound vicious, but you're not going to find many devout bible thumping christians with a ton of diverse life experiences. You can argue that all you want, but I'm convinced thats the truth.

That may be true, but what does it have to do with the price of beans in China?

You completely missed my point. How can someone define their "final destination" by a devout faith in Christ, while there are so many other beliefs....religious or not?

If one religion is right, why do others have to be wrong? For example, are you going to tell me after a vist to a Synagog, surrounded by good people, who believe in similar morals and standards as a Christian, and tell me they're going to hell because they don't believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for us??? Thats ridiculous!!

<---not jewish btw, just making a point.

actually...in a religious conversation...it really DOES matter.

A fundie believes the bible is black and white. They believe exactly what they are taught growning up without any questions and blindly follow God. They grow up without any sort of sexual awareness. For crying out loud, some are even told repeatedly that masterbation is wrong and a sin. At least that's what my mom kept telling me.

For example, are you going to tell me after a vist to a Synagog, surrounded by good people, who believe in similar morals and standards as a Christian, and tell me they're going to hell because they don't believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for us??? Thats ridiculous!!

<---not jewish btw, just making a point.

it is all matter of perspective. I believe in ONE God. While other believe in more Gods. From my understanding, they just because in the same God, but in a different fashion.

We all go meet our maker, eventually.

You may disagree, but I don't believe it's the thoughts that get you in trouble - it's the actions. Going out of your way to get pron, spending too much time feeding the desire, etc.

Wasn't there a line about he who looks upon a woman wantingly has already comitted it in his mind? I can't remember exactly how it goes. Might have been more related to adultery.
yup, Matthew 5:28.
"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

then all are doomed to hell.

without Christ? pretty much.

so as long as i accept christ as my savior, i can lust, then be granted forgiveness?

a rhetorical question, as i already know the answer.
