I know, how would it be possible? Either they had frequent toothaches so this one seemed normal, or the guy was crocked, maybe?

A psychology course I took a year ago had a story about a construction worker who had a pole jammed through his brain - into the area under his ear and out the top of his head... and the guy lived. It was an interesting study because of how the damage to his brain affected his behavior later on - for one thing, the guy became a real asshole. I wonder how this guy will be affected by having a nail in his brain.

There was a similar story where a guy had a knife in his skull and he didn't know it until someone pointed it out.

I heard this story this morning, and I couldn't believe it. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I assume it's true, but with the placement of it, it's just almost hard to believe he wouldn't have at least put his tongue on metal or something.

"Say Bob, what is that in your head?"

"Tim, I'm not really sure...feels long and hard..."

"Egads Bob! I think you have a knife in your skull!"

"A knife? No...well wait...I...by george i think you're right!"

That x-ray is sick. That whole story is wierd. I can't believe it didn't take out an eye or something. That is one fortunate dude.

I remember a story about a dude backing down a ladder and shooting his buddy in the head with his nailgun by accident. The docs dug the 16 penny nail out of his melon and his only complaint after a few weeks was that the accident "fried his sevens". Appears the nail went through the part of his brain responsible for calculations and he found that he struggled with math. He just joked about it.

I still can't fathom having a hole in my mouth and not noticing...
I had a chip on a tooth and went nuts because I couldn't leave it alone with my tongue.
