what ! have heard a lot here is making the senate proportional and getting rid of the EC, and I will never support that.
a larger house would be more as the system was meant to be though.

The system that you are referring to was created for and explicitly meant to protect the power of slave-owning states. This isn't a mystery. It's a plain fact of the negotiations that led to the EC. It's the only reason it exists.

With this apparently very new knowledge in your pocket, in what what way do you continue to defend the relevance of the EC, today?
