You're much better off to use a descriptive term .... the black guy whats his name?
There is nothing derogatory about it if the resemblance is genuine. It's actually more efficient to use a character that everyone is familiar with as that will carry with it a whole range of attributes that they can use to identify the person you're talking about. It also works if they act in a way that's markedly similar to a character.
