I bought Rotella 0w20 at Wal Mart this past weekend for $21 and change for a 5qt container.
Mobil 1 was 22 bucks, I think. I think Quaker State was like 19.99.

Mobil 1 regularly goes on rebate each spring and fall. Pennzoil also offer rebates consistently. It’s about 10-12 dollars for a 5 gallon jug.

Probably not 0w20, though. I'll keep an eye out, I'd buy several change's worth if I found it that cheap. I thought right about 20 bucks was pretty good.

Pennzoil recently had a promo. Buy a 5qt jug of Platinum full synthetic (approx $21+tax), get a free $22 gift card for Shell gas stations. 0w-20 was included, Ultra Platinum costs a bit more and at the time, high-mileage 5w-30 was roughly $18ish. Some of these products quickly sold out on Amazon.com but were restocked during the promo period (Feb. 1 through Feb. 23).

If you shop at Costco, they had 2pack of 5qt jugs of Kirkland full synthetic recently for $25? Finally, for the easiest everyday deal, Walmart has Super Tech 5qt for about $15 (apparently only high mileage variant for 0w-20 viscosity). The Walmart Super Tech, AmazonBasics full synthetic and Kirkland all come from the same manufacturer, and are widely suspected to be identical formulations.

TLDR: Buy Walmart Super Tech if they have your viscosity and you don't want to chase a rebate at particular times of the year.

Make a saved search on Slickdeals for "motor oil". Just last month, Wally World ran a straight discount with no rebate in which Mobil 1 Extended Advanced Performance was $15.72 https://slickdeals.net/f/13812695-w...l-5-qts-jug?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

The Shell Gift Card started out with the oils themselves retailing at about $14 for the guys who got them in the first hours.
