I just git the Daytona Geforce2 mx and it has a heatsink and fan.I can get the core to 220 stable probably higher but thats all the slider goes to.The 6ns memory is a differant story. Before overclocking i noticed that the core was at 175 amd the mem at 150.Anyway the mem wont even go to 155 before i get the screan all garbled up.I atleast want it at 166 where it should be.6ns mem should do it.152 is as high as it will go.it also pisses me off that Daytona is shiping the cards with the mem set at 150 thats under Nvidia specs for this card.

BW,You should try some extra cooling, a fan would probably help since keeping the ram cool will probably give you higher overclocking on the memory anyway try & see what happens.

New update just increase core speed to 220 (max on 5.22 drivers)with memory speed still at 177mhz & it`s rock stable, once my fan arrives will try overclocking the memory.

powerstrip will get you higher than 220/210 but i wouldn't reccomend using it because it doesn't work well with the detonator 6.18 drivers.

Mem, you should go the other way around, forget the core speed and increase the memory speed as this is the real bottleneck. Going from 166 to 200 core speed will only give you a few more frames.

My 7100 runs with no problems at 220/210 with the NV tweak, BUT I'm getting higher scores at a lower speed using Powerstrip??

(System Cel 366@572 on a BP6 with 256megs, using Q2 demo1.dm2)

With the NVTweak:

175/166 : 69,7
220/166 : 71,0
175/210 : 71,5
220/210 : 73,2

With PS 2.72:

175/166 : 69,7 (ie same)
215/199 : 77,4 (somewhat higher!!)

I can't go above 200 on mem with PS before my desktop does blabla :)

any ideas why this is the case. Whats showing the correct speed??

btw, no cooling except hsk.

Progiciel,I agree had the memory at 190 but it crashed ,tried it at 185(memory) & it was stable but had a few corrupted pixels(black ones on desktop)so I reduce it for now until my fan comes then will see what this 6ns memory will do.

Sorry Mem, I didn't mean to offend your intelligence :) Are you getting any kind of cooling for the memory, other than the fan for the gpu?

Thanks!

No offence taken, anyway I have another 80mm Sunon fan on order,Also going to get a PCI card cooler, will take it from there.

I did put a little video card fan heatsink on the mem after posting this morning.Still the same.I like the card but i know the mem is holding it back alot. Its 6ns Toshiba. It wont go past 152 before it gets all garbled up.Daytona new this also thats why they have it clocked at 150.I going to email them and give them a piece of my mind.
