I saw the movie yesterday. It really sucked.
Why do people like Natalie Portman? And what a waste of Anthony Hopkins. He barely got 10 minutes of screen time.
I thought that movie really, really sucked.
Which part of the movie did you really enjoy?

Loved it, awesome film. Fun, Quick, Witty, Intelligent, Well acted. YAGMF (Yet another great marvel film)

My favourite bit was the moment
when the hammer flies into his hand.

Definitely, in terms of introducing the character (Which was the purpose of the film) this and all the recent Marvel films worked perfectly.

really guys? the hammer shoots up into the sky, at the last moment, because natalie's character kissed thor? and then he gets "suited" up? the script was like a kid wrote it.

Spoiler :(

It's a comic book film, not Citizen Kane.

Apologies for not using the spoiler feature. I understand its a comic book film, but at least one could attempt to make it a little bit intelligent and not just cliches.

You have the (new) Batman series. The script is quite intelligent. Even Spiderman 1 & 2 were well crafted.

This movie was like the Hulk. No decent plot line. Just throw in every formulaic scenes for a summer "hit"

I liked it a lot. It's a comic intro movie, it's purpose is to show the character, establish a background, and set him up for later movies (in this case the avengers).

There was plenty of action, excellent special effects, and a storyline which tried to pay homage to the comics (well considering that a Thor movie that had all the comics plots and twists in it would be in the 150 hour range, I think they did pretty well considering everything they had to cut out).

If you're a comic books fan of Thor, it's an enjoyable movie. I don't go to a movie based on comic books or graphic novels to see a huge deep oscar winning plot. I got to see good action and a faithful reproduction of the characters I'm familiar with on-screen.

I adored that bit, it was climactic and awesome. Comic book films have bits like that, does it make it cliched? Maybe, but all comic book films are very similar.

Yeah, kind of felt that way too. It was "OK", but not something I'd go out of my way to see again. Batman, Spiderman, Ironman---I watch those anytime they're on TV.

I'm a big Avengers fan but I thought this movie was lacking. The humor was good, but the fight scenes were cheesetastic. Loki was the only thing that saved this movie. and the special effects of how they did Asgard.

Big cop out not involving Hawkeye in a fight scene.

Captain America sht all over Thor and was monumentally better.

I believe the actor who played Thor has a single facial expression throughout the filim.

Which on?

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, as did the rest of my family. I agree about Portman; I don't get the hype, but I don't think she detracted from the film at all.
