How fast would you drive if there speed limits were removed in all roads?

local roads? probably 25-35 in a residential area and 35-45 on roads where I don't need to worry about pedestrians jumping out into the middle of the road.

In general, I imagine I'd cap it around 15 over the speed limit. Maybe a little less in neighborhoods, maybe a little more on the highway

It would depend on a lot of factors, but if everything was favorable I'd probably do 90-100 on a good freeway, and 30 or so in residential. You never know when fido might run after a ball or something.

On the freeway, probably not much over 75-80. No reason to go faster than that.

Some facts the average person doesn't comprehend...

An average commute to work is about 15 miles.
Freeway speed limits are normally around 65mph.

If you could drive 65 the entire way to work, it would take you just under 14 minutes
If you decide to speed and drive 80, it still takes you 11.25 minutes

I don't get why people feel the need to speed so much just to save 2.5 minutes on their way to work or wherever they are going other than the adrenaline rush they maybe feel by thinkign they are so cool for driving fast....

Even if you are on a 100 mile trip, you still only save 10-15 minutes if you drive that fast the entire way, which is normally not possible.

But if there are no cars on the road I'd probably go about the same as the speed limits now with 5-10 over depending on conditions. On highways tho..i'd probably go 10-15 over the normal speed limit. I think I'd cap it at 90 tho..anything over that would be too much for my poor heart to take.
