I probably wouldn't drive anymore because too many nutbuckets would abuse it. And I don't think I'd drive any faster on the highway anyway as the fuel economy for my vehicle drops off pretty significantly above highway speeds.

Exactly the same way I do now. As fast as conditions allow but "faster than current speed limits but with some sanity left..."

Our current speed limits are a perfect example of lowest common denominator law. It's the safest speed for the worst-but-still-legal driver in the worst-but-still-legal car.

Agreed.

When I went to Germany, people weren't flying all over the place, they were going reasonable speeds. The roads weren't much different there, it was like riding on the NJ Turnpike. Speeds were about the same as the turnpike, too.

This all depends on traffic weather and how alert I am feeling. And I no longer race anyone for any reason. I just like to go very fast.

In city:
45 ? 65 on clear divided surface streets with no pedestrians. From 15-25 around schools or where kids are playing.

On the highway:
No faster than 20 mph faster than the traffic that I am passing through. From 100-150 in clear areas that have no traffic or obstructions in good clear daylight.

Interstate:
Car - 100
Bike - 110-115

In town:
Car - 55-60
Bike - 55-60

Of course, Depends on road conditions, traffic, etc. If people are going faster around me, I will go with the flow.
