That is the best way...as soon as this motor gets past its time, out it comes and in goes a FMS 347 stroker. I'll throw on my GT40X heads and intake, a good cam, and some beefier injectors and be good to go..

All motor...no power adders..
Heh.. mine was carbureted. Stock bore/stroke 302 out of an '88, stock T5 tranny, 4.11 gears, 26x12.5 M/T Sportsman Pro tires, Dart Windsor 2.02/1.6 heads with some home portwork and .010 shaved off the deck, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake w/700cfm (0-4778) carb, 1.75" primary full-length headers into 2.5" exhaust w/turn downs before rear axle. Cam was an Erson Super Shops special custom ground hyd roller with specs as follows:
.544" lift int/ex
304/310 degrees adv. duration
234/242 degrees @ 0.050
110 lobe center
installed 4 degrees retarded (which not only allowed everything to fit clearance-wise, it shifted the power band up in the rpm range and worked with the heads/intake/carb/headers).
I wish I had the money to do it right; I could have gotten that car into the 11s easily then.
