are you saying that it didnt artifact until it reached 94C or are you allowing artifacts? ive used Rivatuner, ATI Catalyst, ATI Tool, and ATI Tray Tools, and they never pushed it over 75C...

Nope, the omega drivers from guru3d.com. It never artifacted, it crashed the computer. It stayed at 93ish and just kept going. When it crashed, it was GPU was 531, and 570ish mem speed (i think). It never artifacted though, I would really like to know how far I could OC if I watercooled. I believe the temps are correct, because of Ati official drivers register the same temps.

The most overclocked card I ever had, was a GF2 Ultra. It was at 340/525, which at the time, was pretty good. Thats faster than a lot of cards out today actually.

Another great overclocker, was a 9800 Pro, it did 480/380. The ram would go all the way up to 420 and not lock up, but it looked like Tempest, with all the artifacts. I never did a volt mod or anything, that would have probably gotten it artifact free at those speeds.

Had a 9800XT that did do 480/420 artifact free, all stock again. That was pretty good I thought.

Havent really tried to push this GTX yet, waiting for AC to put out a new Silencer.

On somewhat stock cooling? (18" fan blowing right on graphic card)

My video card exploits, are not too spectacular. I overclock to get things to perform beyond its price.

* Added 2 MB of VRAM to my VESA local bus Diamond stealth 64, using spare memory chips from old computers. Didn't make it any faster, but I could run with more colours on my windows 3.11 desktop. It was pretty cool at the time, having a 4 MB video card.

* Flashed and overclocked a $60 Radeon LE to match the performace of a $150 Radeon. I forget the speeds.

* Overclocked a Ti4200 to Ti4600 speeds. I had to put a spare fan sideways above the card for extra airflow.

Can't get too much out of my current 6600GT, but its already clocked pretty high. I did get an extra 150 MHz on the memory.

I OC'ed my 6800GT to 400\545 (ALMOST 6800U speeds, but not quite :( ) with ThugsRook's GTU BIOS. Without it, I could only get to 380\545. I don't run it OCed now, as it is BLISTERINGLY hot here in Arizona ;) .

Have had my AIW X800XL AGP at 513/1228.

Got 6299 3DMark05

I think I can squeeze more out of it, but why bother?

That's impressive! I got my X800Pro up to 570 core and 1020 memory and stable in 3DMark05 at around 5400 points. I have a dedicated case fan blowing are from the side of the case directly on the card with stock HSF installed but that's the highest my DDR3 will go without seeing snowflakes. I run everyday games at 550/1000 and score around 5200 in 05 on those settings. This is better than a stock X800XL and my card's core temp never wanders above 65C in the summer running under load.

Someone mentioned in another thread that some VIVO versions of the X800Pro can be soft modded to 16 pipes? Is this true? Anyone?

Yep, flash it with a XT / XT PE bios and away you go. There's a massive thread about it in here if you search for it. Will your memory budge anymore, I'm thinking we have opposite cards, my core is stuck at 555 otherwise it just reboots the computer, but I can tweak my memory almost to 1200 without a hitch.

Just did the mod! Used a 16 pipeline X800Pro image (shows up as X800Pro still but with 16 pipelines)

At 550/980 on the clock settings (my everday gaming settings) I scored 5921 in 3DMark05!!! :)

Can't wait for a cooler day to push my little X800Pro past 6000!
