392/700 stock --> 440/950 oc'd with the above-mentioned cooler.
~4800 3dmark05

I am surpised you havent unlocked the 4 pipes in your x800 card.

I don't think it's possible to unlock any pipes on it, but I'd certainly do it if someone shows me that it can be done. Has anyone else successfully unlocked it? Because if it's possible, then I might be keeping it for longer than I originally planned.

this may get you started, hope this helps.

I had to vmod mine to get the core on this thing above 515.... It doesn't get hot. Maxes at like 50 something C for temps load and idles in the mid 30's.

i know I had artifacts appearing on my raddy 9700 pro

then I think I upped the core 50 Mhz and Mem about 80Mhz? erm, i think thats what I did,
not much but I didnt need to OC it anyway for the type of gaming I was doing

I have a R350 9800Pro that I think stock is 380/340. I haven't played around with overclocking it much so I set a quick 395/355 and everything has been okay. I could probably go a little higher on both without any ill effects. It seems just about every 9800Pro with decent cooling can reach XT speeds.

I don't feel it's worthwhile to overclock anything.
Same here.

I overclocked my previous system and I didn't have fun. Although I did get crazy and completely stable clockspeeds with the 9700Pro after a nice volt mod. 405/690 I think it was. from stock 325/620.

6800NU 325 core to 351 Core WOOT! Heh, its not much but I plan to have it for awhile and Im going with a reasonably safe oc. It gets me 4300 in 3dmark05 so im cool wit it.

Asus AX850 XT @ stock 520/540 got 5904 on 3DMark05

max stable (with 0 artifacts) was 574/574 so i left it and got 6782 on 3DMark05

temp maxes at 72/73C but during most games it stays at around 66C (stock cooling at 100%) idle temps are 44C core, 46C ambient

I'm currently upgrading my case airflow and ill be adding an ATI silencer 5, so it should do better.

What did you use to overclock? Coolbits 2.0 or rivatuner won't let me set anything above 499. At 499/1300, I had no artifacts or problems, so I don't see why it wouldn't go higher. I have a Zalman VF700, and temps are at 62C full load, so I don't think temps are a problem also.

RIght now I'm at 499/1300, eVGA 7800GTX

That's impressive! I got my X800Pro up to 570 core and 1020 memory and stable in 3DMark05 at around 5400 points. I have a dedicated case fan blowing are from the side of the case directly on the card with stock HSF installed but that's the highest my DDR3 will go without seeing snowflakes. I run everyday games at 550/1000 and score around 5200 in 05 on those settings. This is better than a stock X800XL and my card's core temp never wanders above 65C in the summer running under load.

Someone mentioned in another thread that some VIVO versions of the X800Pro can be soft modded to 16 pipes? Is this true? Anyone?

I just realized that under BF2, my card would hit about 75 max. but when I run Omega "find max overclock" , the card willl hit 94C.

does ocing really make any difference in game proformence or is it just braggin rights, becuase i dont see much of a difference in my GT that i upped to Ultra...
I know that a Ultra clocks arent that big of a difference from GT, however i cant even tell the difference, it looks the same... and plays the same... it makes me wonder what the real difference would even be from a bought GT to a bought Ultra anyway? an extra 5% on -random- benchmark? or another 7fps in -any- game?

i took a mx440....275/400 to 400/600...on air ONCE never hit that again ...i played some CSS at dx7 w/ max everything with 125 fps

are you saying that it didnt artifact until it reached 94C or are you allowing artifacts? ive used Rivatuner, ATI Catalyst, ATI Tool, and ATI Tray Tools, and they never pushed it over 75C...
